Looks like that little guy...er...hopefully girl is stretching out some. If you can get the light closer without burning it (try to keep that temp to 75-79 with that hps) then do so...or get supplemental light on it so it won't stretch. Get a fan on it too...and before I give out any more information on what I would do...I recommend reading the grow f.a.q. and browsing the forums some more, while baked of course!
Good Luck!

How old in the pic? I could be wrong if that thing is less than a week old...hehe...you are probably doing the right thing.

Its at 12 days. I have a fan for it but i don't want to keep it on constantly just in cane it stresses the youngin, and its not very hot.

no you can't clone yet,,sorry,,guess you haven't read much yet,,if you have no heat issues,,get that light down on the plant,,it's pretty tall and lanky for 18 days,,here's a pic of a plant at 17 days,,,,the closer the light,,the less stretching your plant does,,keeps it nice and tight and bushy,,,hope this helps and good luck to the end

Keep on Growin

Day 24! :D ...Heres an updated picture. any suggestions? i noticed it likes the cfl alot more then the HPS, it leans towards the cfl. I also just received my Belladonna , just sprouted a day ago. :) Should i clone it yet? and how much longer you think before i kick it into 12/12..a week or 2?

you can't clone until there are at least 5-7 nodes on plant. its in the growfaqs. it looks a tad small, get a lightcloser, get a fan on it. Stay the hell away from Miracle Gro. I am also using it (I didn't know any better when I started) am having lots of plant burn, the stuff is way too acidic and bug-laced I am using tubed flouros so mine are growing slower also. but get the light as close as you can without plant burn. the closer, the more dens (bushier) your final plant wilol be. the more the stem stretchedthe weaker it'll be and you want her strong so she can hold up those fat buds later:mrgreen:

I don't know your strain, but vegg for at least 1 month I went for 2 but again I;m using flouros (tubes) what;s your hurry? good things take time. there are strains out there that take less time to grow. Perhaps you should look into them, next time?

You won't kill them if you use common sense with your fan setting. I have been using this box fan ever since I moved them from shelf to the floor. On the shelf I used an oscillating desktop dfan 24/7 1 foot off my plants on low.

ive used miracle grow soil for quite sometime, and have never had any burn. i do admit that ive seen a few bugs come from it, but none that have ever harmed any of the plants. ive got 4 northern lights in flower right now and ive fed them about every 4 days since they were 2 wk old seedlings and have never seen one sign of nutrient burn. they are actually only 2 1/2 months old and are all between four and five feet tall with large colas and amazing thc production. if in your experience it has caused burn its more likely that your nutrient solution is too strong or applied too often. i would definitely prefer to mix my own soil again, but miracle grow is cheap and i personally have seen no ill affects in using it.

comes as a relief! everyone i'd spoken with here told me not to use it. I've been using it since November, and yeah, the bugs are plentiful, just don't hurt anything. but they are throughout my entire basement now! Thanks! you get my vote for that bit of reassurance!

no problem, there are however many benefits in using a custom soil mix. you know exactly what your putting in and how much of it your putting in ,which enables you to experiment with different mixtures and different products to see what your plants favor. really experience is your best friend, and in mine ive seen that proper ventilation, temperature, and lighting play a bigger role in my plants quality than the brand of soil they are grown in.

you shouldn't ballasts get hot as a bitch. you probably have read this but you should use hps for flower not mh

yea i know but this ballast only supports MH, hope it doesnt effect the yield. I put a shoebox over the ballast :P

it will affect the yield, it wont make you have a shit yield but it wont be as good as flowering with hps. and thats still pretty dangerous putting a cardboard box over the ballast, no joke.
