first grow in a few years -CFL-

just figured id start a journal to keep a log on my plants

so I've start 3 plants under a few cfls. plants are already a week old from the day i put them in soil\
as of right now i dont have much money to work with which is why im growing under cfls.

using some organic soil i got from my buddy's family's nursery and ill be getting some root booster and flower booster from him in a few days

right now the plants are in 5 gal. pots i have more / bigger pots i got from my buddy also
the seeds came from some random "dro" that i picked up over time. or just bagseed if you prefer.

any idea on whether its sativa or indica dom yet???

Your gonna have o wait till the leaves get a bit bigger. If they are long and thin, it is a Sativa Dominant plant and if they are short and fat, it is Indica dominant.

thats kinda what i figured. i have two other plants but theyre arent growing nearly as fast as the one i posted the pic of. advice maybe? im running about 6 cfls per plant.

Get them as close to the plants as you can. With the cfls try and keep them within 2" of the leaves. Don't over water them, let your pots water them selves from the bottom up man. let the plant take what it needs that way the top of the soil stays airy and lets oxygen get to the roots as well.

debating on doing some LST with these plants a little later on. Possibly topping. idk if i really want to try and top and ruin the whole grow. Advice??

It all depends on what you are looking to get in the end. All topping is really going to do is make your girls short and squat, but if you don't have a lot of vertical room and you need them to grow out instead of up that should help you out. Not knowing what you are eventually looking for and what your grow limitations are that's really all the info I can give ya right now

well width i have about 4 feet and height i have about 9 foot. im growning in a closet btw. i just really want to maximize my yield within my restrictions. so more bud. less money. feel me?

Well being that you have the vertical height, and assuming that you are going to flower all of your stuff at once, you have the room to let all of them grow to a good size even before you put them into flower.

For sure for sure. I'm debating on how long I really want to veg these out.

How many cfls total? And will cfl be the primary light source the whole grow?

Just a lil update. My pc took a shit so I can't upload any pics but plant #1 is growing very well nice n health really tight spacing between nodes and I'm running 6 cfls per plant atm truepunk. I will get more soon. And yes I'm growing with cfls veg and flower. I'm broke in between jobs so a hps or mh is outta the question. Ohio sucksssss lol. I really wish I could upload pics of the plants they're begging for attention lol.

So I need a little help with how long I should let these babies veg for. I don't want them getting too tall. Also id like to maximize my yield and minimize the time. Any advice, comments, criticism? Lol

Well if you want to maximize yield, then hps is the only thing you can do for weight. Cfls r ok for veg, but lack the intense light and penetration factor to add weight. Even a mh would help with flower. U can pick up a cheap used mh or hps on craigslist or ebay. Doesnt have to b 1k watt light. Get u a lil 150mh or hps to start. But good luck, stay green & stay high

Well I know this. If I had the money I totally would but with being in between jobs that option is cut out. Still no advice on how long I should veg???
