First Grow - Indoor Grow Tent - Help Needed

Hey all,

Im going to be starting my first grow and just wanted to run a few things through you guys before I purchase all the equipment. Im going to be setting up a grow tent in my wardrobe. The grow tent measures 40 x 40 x 120cm. (DR40 Secret Jarden if you wanna google it)

First question, I'm thinking about getting a 250w HPS, will this be ok for the size of my tent or will it be too much?

Second, how hard is a carbon filter to fit? I obviously dont want all my clothes to stink of chronic and any ideas what size or brand I should get for the tent?

Third, Im not sure what sort of intake fan I should be looking for here, any suggestions?

Any other help or advice would be much appreciated. Feel free to ask me any questions that may help.

That tent is very very small. you wont even be able to fit just the 250w bulb in there. I would go with a different tent because it will only grow 1 plant.

you might fit a 70w hps light from homedepot that people use for outdoor lighting. that would wrok great for this tent.

air cool that light with an axial fan and look at the DIY carbon filter and run that on an axial as well. 70W - 150W max in that small space

Yeah I know the tent is small but its the best I can do for now.

Are you sure 250w is too much? I was reading a thread where the guy was using 60cm x 60cm x 140cm and he said his one was going fine.

What about 150w HPS?

Ok thanks I think ill go for the 150w HPS. Will I be able to fir a MR in at all do you think?

Will an air cooled reflector work just as well as an axial fan?
