After a few months of research and sleepless nights (Insomnia) I'm attempting my first GrowBox! I think I've finally found a sound design for my space and budget constraints. Going to construct 2x2x5 GrowBox lined w/Mylar through the inside. Most of my inspiration comes from Scottyball Pineapple Express G-13 lab's Seed to Harvest, so I will be going that route with a few modifications. So let me know what you think please and any suggestions are welcomed!!!

P.S. Below is a picture of my concept drawn on paper, don't laugh I'm not an artist... :/

ScvangerHunt:
Feminized G-13 Blue OG $45.46
330w Phillips CDM Allstart Bulb $53.97
Harvest Pro 400w Magnetic Ballast $106.95
GH WaterFarm $49.95
VanTech 4in Inline 190cfm $69.95
PhreshFilter 4in x 8in $77.95
SE Electronic Speed Controller $22.87
Reflective Mylar 50ft Roll $19.95
HM Digital PPM meter $15.15
Mini Digital PH meter $9.01
Acu Rite Indoor Humidity/Temp. Monitor $11.87
E39 Vertical Mogul Socket 15' Cord $35.95
Flora Nova Bloom $16.84

I like the results I've seen with waterfarms from only 1 plant which is why I was going that route. At only 50 dollars didn't see as to much of a purchase or investment. Hemoy Pots sound interesting though and if it keeps things a little simpler I'm for it, lol. What are they though if you don't mind me asking???

Yeah I'be been keeping my excitement down to avoid errors and keeping my mind clear when I'm working on this project. I've scrapped at least 10+ designs already, lol. I'm going to build my farm today though and will post picture as soon as its assembled for critiques! :)

Ive also been wondering about heat in my box... :( These bulbs burn slightly cooler but not much from what I've read up on. I might add in two PC fans at the sides of the box to help with heat if my Exhaust set-up can't keep temps. down on its own.

https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/59705-hempy-collective.html here's a thread that describes hempy a little, basically the most simple form of hydroponics. a medium of perlite, or perlite and vermiculite, and a drain a few inches off the bottom of bucket. You can also put an airstone in the bottom, personally I would.

Yeah I have like 3 pc fans to keep things cool and just to have air flow. I have all the fans hooked to a powresupply but I have conected each individual fan to a toggle switch so if its too much flow I can turn one or two off.

Just assembled the frame and looks good so far. I'll be placing the walls as soon as I have Mylar to line the inside with. Here is a picture of the frame so far though.

Thats a very similar design to my box. Very very similar. Looks like you have a good start and an even better plan. I currently run DWC in mine but am actively trying to figure out a way to run RDWC with a one plant system in this box. That would allow me to have a larger, easier to maintain res outside of the grow box. Also I have my HPS hanging vertically as in your sketch and want to explore vertical ScrOG which is next to impossible with my DWC. Anyway, I'm subbed and will be following along. Good luck and happy gardening.

Yeah I did a lot of research before I decided on this final design, scrapped 10 other blueprints before this one, lol. I'm trying to be as stealthy as possible with decent results but easy first grow. Probably build my scrog screen sometime this week too. Probably going to build it to lay on studs I have screwed into the side walls take advantage of full area that I have. Vertical seem like the best way to go with my bulb selection and dimensions so I hope it works out for me but only time will tell, lol. Appreciate the sub and ill keep updating my progress frequently.

Here's a diagram of my set up with the new RDWC system that I'll be implementing this week.

I left out the floor fan but I have a small fan that points up from the lower right hand corner to the upper left hand corner and the exhaust/filter.

If you are going with a single bulb for the whole grow, I would suggest taking a look at the new ceramic metal halide bulbs from Phillips. Appears to have The fullest spectrum of light you can get from a bulb. More blues than a metal halide, and more red than an hps. They run off magnetic metal halide ballasts too. they burn cooler than hps too, you could probably throw the 205w bulb(wich runs on 250w mh ballast)in that cabh, and have managable temperatures. rated for open use and universal burn position. I have been reading up on these and will be making the switch next grow. 145w will be perfect in my cab. Just think of it as the closest replica of sunlight you can buy

You may want to check out tthe s&p td100x inline fan. I got one at Lightingdirect.com it was $92.00 with free shipping and I found a coupon code online so it was $82.80. I added a switch to the junction box and I have High and Low. It is VERY quiet, I love it.

That is the bulb I'm using, lol. I'm using the 330w instead of the 205w though. :)

I don't know anything about the CMH bulb but from the drawing they look very happy!!
Lol, yeah I thought bulbs should being smiling I mean there always shining so they must be happy! :)
