I have Invested in the equipment i need now and im going to list below what i have and the couple of questions i have i'm sure you guy's will know the answers too!
i plan on growing autoflower seeds
Heres the setup iv bought
Secret Jardin DS120 (1.2 meter x 1.2 meter x 1.85 meter)
600 watt Maxibright EuroLux ballast
600 watt EuroLux HPS Bulb (90,000 Lumen)
1x Euro Reflector (With the V in the middle)
1x Pair of Easy Rollers
1x 5" Vents TT (2 Speed) Fan and 5" Prima Klima carbon filter kit (including 3m aluminium foil ducting and 3x clips)
Hygrometer
Plug and Grow timer
Water PH tester (Electronic)
2X 3 Inch clip on fans
The seeds i have bought are: 5 X Heavyweight Fast And Vast Auto ... 3 X Sweet Seeds Cheese Auto (both feminized)
OK So Question time..
1. Im going to buy 4-5ltr pots, somebody recommended squarish tubs more like a small bin for increased space use (as oppsosed the circle pots) is this correct?
2. Can someone recommend a soil/Grow medium i can buy locally to grow autoflowers in? i know they are sensitive to nutes and i will also be adding 25% perlite to the mix (no local hyrdoponics shop)
3. Also will somebody recommend nutes to me? its not something i understand well, but i'm looking for something similar to the fox farms trio?
4. How will i test the PH of my soil? i have a water PH tester to make sure the water i feed is correct
5. Should i grow the seed straight from the big pot instead of transplanting?
6. im thinking about also buying a 250W CFL light, and starting seedlings off in a separate room, then placing them in the big tent under the 600W HPS... does this sound ok?
7. Do i need to flush the soil before i plant my seed?
