hello, my first auto flower is looking stressed, she is 18 days-old, I just topped her 2 days ago it looked stressed for one day after toping then bounced back cause I fed it with 1.5 liters of half dosage of nutes for 3rd week(advanced nutrients ph perfect trio), are these signs of light stress(because I put the light 2-3 inches down after toping to put it at 18 inches) , overwatering stress? Or heat stress? or it's just from toping?

Also please look at last 2 images for this stain doesn't look like water stain no?


Last thing I would love to start applying some LST with gardening stakes do you think it's gonna be useful after topping or just let it be as it's already stressed enough?

I’m just a bit cautious you know? Can’t leave it and chill it’s like my first baby! Would you advise to do the LST anyways even while it looks like that stressed?

Leave it be. Topping was great but just.grow out your first plant, watch and learn from it. It's an auto so nothing you do is going to make that much difference and you risk doing too much because you want to actively give care but might not know when to stop.

Did you let your soil “cook”? I recommend pre amending (if needed) and cooking for at least 30 days.

Looks very nice and healthy to me, only thing is you might not want it too squat being an auto :)

I just mean not to trim too much too soon because an auto can't be left longer on the veg cycle. You can always chop some more off if it stretches too much, sometimes more foliage helps get it bushy :)
Depending on the strain you might want more red light too for a little stretch

Plant age is almost 3 weeks
Medium: 1/2 light mix biobizz + bottom half of the pot is allmix from biobizz
Led light Sf1000d(not dimmable) on a distance between 21 to 19inches as the manufacturer recommend 18-24inches in vegitative - humidity is always between 60-75, temprature is between 19C and 25C

Don't Top Autos! Think of it as a set timeline, You've just wasted, what, like 1.5 weeks of growth. Autos dont have the same growth characteristics. Its only recommended to LST autos. That way your not wasting time on recovery from topping and other HST methods.

I understand this may be an unpopular opinion now a days. But I will die on that hill.

I don't understand this.... Did you mean to say that it wont stay in veg the veg cycle? Because in Autos we literally have no control when it starts to flower, that's the ruderalis trait. Its a timeline/ maturity thing, not light cycle.

He's saying there's a hard limit to how much the plant will grow before it flowers. By topping, you're eliminating potential budsites, possibly damaging your overall yield. The plant takes time to divert resources to the other nodes, again taking time from developing potential budsites, so it's a huge gamble that topping will result in a more robust yield with autos.

I’m very limited in height which is 4ft so I had to top it to limit the plant from stretching a lot. Not to increase yield.

Thanks man. I guess I wasn't clear on what I was mis-understanding.... I didn't understand what he was TRYING to say. It sounded like he thought he can control the veg/ flower cycles.

I already know how Autos work.

Your temp might be a little low. is that 19c during lights off and 25c lights on?
