hi guys, growing 5X lowryders (unfeminzed),

okay so i messed up my grow journal in the grow journal section, and i think i should have started it here in the first place, because im a noob, with prolly a fair few questions along the way.

here is the setup:

only thing i dont like is the temperature in there, wish it was just a tiny bit lower. I moved the ballast outta there and the fan is now on constantly. it never goes over 30 celcious, or 80 farenheight, yet the soil seems to dry up real quick.

.
here is the first sign of life, after 3 days:

after 5 days.

they had a shocking beginning, i orginally planted 2inches deep (dont ask), had to unearth them and replant them....then i dropped them all from about 4ft of heights when they slid off the tray (dont ask), which led to them being unearthed and repotted.

HOW THEY ARE ALIVE GOD KNOWS!!!!.

but some seem to be struggling because they are much smaller than the other 2.

comments appreciated. and sorry about my shitty camera, will try to get hold of a proper one instead of using my phone.

Gentics will play a roll in size. Bad move to spill your seedlings and replant. Hermies could occur.

Looks like a nice setup, watch out for those high temps. Do you only have the space shown under the light? looks like you might struggle for head room unless you keep them short or train em well. Good luck anyways!

Move the ballast and place on a brick or something non flammable. Also replace the foil with emergency blankets they reflect a lot more light.

hoping to get a double closet/wardrobe soon and pimp it out. this space will have to do for now though.

why would they become hermies if they were dropped, i think i know what you mean by hermie, but im not really too familiar with it when it comes to plant terms.

im gonna have to leave it like taht as anymore heat & light and its gonna break 35 celcius/95 farenheight.

will put the balast on a brick though, it does get quite hot sometimes and i do worry.

move the ballast out of the grow area, that's why it's so hot!!
i moved the ballast outta there a few days ago, only took it down 2 degrees.

still at 30C, 85F constantly.

BUT!, the soil is drying up well fast, and i dont mean till its moist, i mean proper hard and dry. it could be because they are only half filled with soil, and they are small pots to begin with. so will have to continue to water them twice a day untill i repot.

should i take the aluminium off, will it reduce the heat?

i do have white walls behind the foil if that would be better.

Hope everythin works out for you mate. Maybe change those into bigger pots in a couple of days and that should stop the watering problem.

Looks good, you were lucky with the whole repotting deal! You should (carefully!!) repot them very soon, Lowryders like to send their roots deep and you want to let them do it early so they can reach their full potential. Good luck!

update - day 7

my babies are now 7 days old, some are a bit bigger than others which is confusing me as they have all been treated pretty much the same.

i took some advice and removed all the aluminium foil, my grow space looks pretty scruffy now, but ive managed to knock 8Celcius off the temp which is good.

I dont mean to keep harping on about it but you really should get them in bigger pots asap! That'll get them growing

ive only got compost at the moment, they grew fine in it so far, but i would have prefered to have got potting soil and repotted in that, and added my own newts (i have a bottle of 10-3-6 plant food from a hydropenics shop)

should i just repot in the compost, and just not add newts for another 2 weeks?
