First Grow - Some droopy leaves

I also did some LST on the plants since I don't have a lot of height to work with; Did a rez change; and changed my bulb to the HPS bulb. I hope these actions will help with better undergrowth.

Sorry to hear about the male. Just make sure before you pull it...

Do you have any pics of the issues you are having with the undergrowth?

A lot of growers cut the undergrowth off during prune before flower. Most of it will not produce the quality I desire and will take longer to mature. I would rather have the plant focus its energy on the parts of the plant that are able to absorb the light. I did a pretty thorough job. pics posted at the link below.

Your plants look great! That is what I am trying to do, but first I need to let the bottom branches grow. They are VERY small. This is the problem that I was talking about. I pulled the plants to the side so that the light would better hit theses branches and leaves. I probably wouldn't have such a problem with this if I had vegged for longer but I was worried about running out of room. I will take some picks later in about 4 hours, when the lights come back on.

Look forward to the pics. I can understand the balance of yield and height restrictions. Sounds like you are on track. If you dont have time for LST you may have to go to HST and just top them. I know you may not want to hear that. Lets see what the pics are like.

Well, the tall one is almost definitely a male, but I will let it go until I am sure.

Here are some pics of the undergrowth and a close up of the problem child. The new growth is looking better on it though, so hopefully it will recover. I better get at least one nice plant or I will def be upset. If not, at least I learned A LOT from the grow and the wonderful people on RIU:hug:.

All and all they look good. Nothing a little adjusting cant help.

Do you have a ppm meter?

If not - Maybe change your rez and go 2/3 of the recommended strength and see what they do. Those spots will not turn green again, but it would be a good idea to avoid your new growth having this issue also. It is most likely stunting their growth at the least. I had some of my plants form similar spots on them after I changed the nutes from veg to preflower - I knew I mixed it strong and confirmed with the ppm tester, but I didnt add water like maybe I should have. I kept an eye on them, pulled a leaf or two off each plant, and they settled down, prolly got a little accustom to it with the lights at 12/12.

Looks like two of them are male.:wall: The one on the left which is the biggest and the one in the front which is the problem child. I will be cutting them down tonight when the lights come back on. The one on the right is starting to show signs of sex and it is looking like it is female. I will probably know better tonight if this is true. This was the one that I was mostly concerned about since the seed came from a very good bag. I have done a lot of LST on her and she is getting much thicker. I will have more picks tonight.

Good call on taking some pics with lights out. I took them a few minutes before the lights were going to come on. The pics look much better and show the color of the plant also:hump:.

Lookin pretty healthy. What nutrients you using right now and what EC or ppm? If you don't have a meter are you at least up to full strength according to what the bottle says? Weeks 3 and 4 are the most bud growth imo, enjoy the ride!

I am using GH Nutes and have been using 1 part Micro and 2 parts Bloom. My PPM right now is a little over 900. I am not positive but I think that this might be low for day 22. According to the bottles, I am using slightly more than full strength. It has been working very well so far and I have not had any deficiencies or burn. I do get a very small amount of yellowing at the end of the week and I use more nutes every week.
