First Grow using AeroGarden Pro200

Just joined this site and I am impressed with the amount of info here so I figured I could pick your brains here for my first grow ever.

I have 5 feminized Lowryder 2 and 5 of their free seeds that are supposed to be Mazar x Afghan.

I want to try the freebies first, their site says this is a short to medium plant. I have read other threads on the areogarden grow and am going to only grow two plants at a time for the Mazar x Afghan.

My questions involve the topping of the plants. When, where, and how to do this? And does anyone know how long it will take this strain to grow and harvest? Can this strain be cloned, if so how is that done? If cloned will they produce females?

Like I said I'm a greenhorn so help me out gentlemen.

you should top the plant when there is about 4 or 5 strong growth nodes, all you do is cut off the top of the plant right above a set of branches, the two branches right under the cut will become the new tops and all the lower branches should start to grow more.

all strains can be cloned, wether they will be female depends on the plant you take it from, if its a female any clone taken from it will be female.
cloning involves cutting off a branch and rerooting it in rockwool or peat plugs. peat plugs or rapid rooters are the best. you have to keep them at 80-95% humidity, to do this you need them in a huidity dome and to open and spray the dome once a day every day till they are rooted. once rooted just transplant into soil. each clone can be veged out to a full plant or just be flowered as soon as rooted to keep one bigger top cola. make sure you look it up and read about it befor doing it tho. there is alot of steps, look up a batch of clones in rockwool on this site.

as far as how long it will take? you could have it in 12/12 light and have it perty much flower from seed and it would get about a foot tall maybe a little less and maybe yield you an ounce, depending on lighting, and that would take about 12 weeks.
if you went through the orthodoxed seed to flower schedual you would veg it under 18/6 light/dark for about 2 months or untill its about half the size you want it to end up being, and then switch it over to 12/12 light dark for another 2 months or so.

look it all up more and just read alot.

On the cloning, I am growing in an AeroGarden, so no soil planting. I'm guessing they will do just as well that way. The Mazar x Afghan will only get a foot tall? I know nothing of this strain and can't seem to find anything on it either. I will be reading all I can on cloning, however everything I've read on the Lowryder #2 indicates cloning is impossible because it has no veg. time. Is this what you guys have been seeing or have heard?

no it would only get about a foot tall if it were just flowered from seed, if you grow it out for 2 months first then flower it it will be double that size.
