First Grow: White Berry

My first time growing. I'm using Paradise-Seeds White Berry Feminized.

I started germinating the seeds using a paper towel. When I went to get soil and pots I ran into some tomato growing products and decided to give them a try.

I still need to get a cabinet, fans, lighting, and fertilizer. I am planning on using CFL's as they seem to be the easiest and cheapest. For a cabinet I plan on finding a pre-made cabinet or shelf around 2-3ft x 3 ft x ?. I also don't know what fertilizer I should be using. I don't want to get too complicated as this is my first grow, and being able to buy everything locally is plus. (I also need to come up with something rather quickly 1-3 days)

Any comments, help, or tips much appreciated!

Mixin-

Where did you get your seeds from? I've had a hard time with these genetics compared to other strains...
I don't have a camera, but I would love to see any pics you have!

i will start one a journal too, maybe it wont start until i flower it though, or at least take clones from a whiteberry.

so far my little whiteberry seedlings are just on there first set of real leaves. if i get the time and motivation i will start a journal earlier than flowering

my whiteberry moms are getting bigger. i am about to pull some clones from them and get them ready for my first sog. i am going to run with 9 whiteberrys in 2 liter soda bottles every two weeks and see how that works out.

how much do you think a whiteberry plant growing in 2 liter bottles could produce? i am growing under a 250hps with Co2 all organic. i plan on having nice healthy clones ready to roll in a bubble cloner so hopefully i will just be starting nice healthy uniform sized clones every 2 weeks so no seedlings here...

anyone with experience growing whiteberry out there that can give me a rough estimate of the yeilds of whiteberrys? i can't find any good grow journals that show whiteberrys flowering out to the finish either... can anyone help?

I know what you are saying - there truly isn't a legitimate WB grow journal from start to finish (at least not that I've been able to find while doing searches). I wish I had a camera.

I have one WB flowering right now, it will be harvested in about 4~9 days. As far as yield (produce) goes, it really depends on how large you grow the plant. Cloned plants have the reputation of delivering better yields than plants grown from seed, so that is something to keep in mind. I expect to get about an ounce from the one plant, the main cola is like a 2 liter bottle!

I started flowering mine at around 6" from seed and it ended up being about 18" after a consistent stretch throughout the first three weeks of flower. Showed sex within three weeks of inducing flower under a 400w HPS. And it is most definitely main cola dominant...you'll see. From my experience, thus far, the plant's growth pattern has been consistent with the breeder's description and limited reviews/forum journals. I am growing Cheese beside the WB and it definitely has more trichome development than the Cheese. I would say the WB has a more floral smell rather than "berry" aroma, although that's to be expected since the plant's heritage is apparently not from Blueberry genetics. No CO2, Advanced Nutrients Sensi 2-part with several additives: beneficial fungi, bacteria and and an additional liquid suspension of 5 'superstrain' bacteria, enzymes, B-vitamins, carbohydrates and a 3-part flowering nutrient progression - Bud Blood (P-K), Big Bud(AAs & P-K), Overdrive (AAs & Vit. C).

I started flushing a few days ago, so I'll keep you updated on the harvest, drying, curing and smoke details.

Nine plants is too many for that lamp, and 2-liter bottles won't allow you to grow very large plants, the bare minimum is usually 10 litres/plant. How large did you plan on letting these ladies grow?
