First grow

So this is my first "real" grow. The set up is really budget oriented and simple.

2 40w linear fluorescents (one 6500k, one 2700k)

I am using miracle gro :(, I know its not the best but I've got alil method down to making it work for me.

Grow room is in closet against white wall in a 4`x 4` x 1+`(about)

I germinated my seeds on Mar 23 and they broke soil around the 28th/29th. So my lil babies are about 2 weeks old.

I've already started giving them nutes (15 30 15). I give each of my 7 plants a sip every 3rd day or so with something like a 1/16th dose.

Temp for most of the day is between 78-85 and around 70-75 at night. Not too sure on the exact humidty, but if I guessed its over 50% because of the "sweet" ontop of the plastic.

And the lights are on 24/7 with 1''-2'' away from tips.

Feel free too gimie any advice, I am perty much a newbie. :hump:

Oh and there was alittle stretching at first but they stopped growing upwards when I lowered the light and as soon as I did the leaves started explodin outward..!

Sooo, I put the hps on the plants yesterday and got some really great growth in just one day, kinda surprised me atually.. Got about 1''+ leave span growth (9'' total) and about the same heigth wise (7"). Anyone think it should be more than this maybe? All in all, I think their doin perty good for it bein bout 16 days, eh...

im thinking you should transplant the ones in the clear containers asap since roots dont like light, other than that looking good

Plants are looking nice and healthy!
I would recommend putting a small oscillating fan in the room on low speed, it will strengthen the plants.

thanks man, appreciate the comment. Is it a big difference if the fan oscilates or not? I have one of those intake/exhaust fans atm right now, but alil oscilator does sound like a more convienent idea

I droped my lights on 3 of my plants, it wasnt too seriouse, but enough for the top part of the stems to bend (no breaks) and a hole or two in the top leaves......

Will my babies bounce back fromt this pretty easily? or are there some steps I need to take to help them through their trauma lol......

but seriously someone please help, +rep

Started flowering 2 weeks ago

The bent plant is over 32"

THEY ALL TURNED OUT FEMALE....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what the hell are the odds with non-femanized seeds...

and I'm getting a 400wHPS in a week, which should be good considering there in a 3'x3' space and with 375w of flourescent and a 70wHPS, it should do the job, hopefully..
