First Grow

I'm posting this with the hopes that I'll get some questions, comments, and criticism.

250W HPS Lamp, 14 Gal Reservoir, 3 long airstones, in an aprx 2' x 3' x 6' cabinet.

Built an exhaust panel with the carbon layer from a furnace filter over it. Hopefully that'll keep down the stank when the girls go into flowering.

Seeds germinating at this time. I'll come back with more photos.

Looks a little small for my tastes, even for a 250, but its hard to tell, I used a full sized pallet for my 1st indoor I did with a 250. You have ventilation set up tho so, you ready to roll, happy growing!

I did kinda the same thing with about the same amount of space, heres what went wrong. Unless your gonna do dwarfs or something like it, then you will want more space. Once my girls got big they started getting bushy and thick and just wasnt enough room for more then 1 plant, and 1 isnt enough LoL. I also couldnt raise the light because I ran outta room. The end result, I ditched the box. You did a great job setting it up though.

Damn, that sucks. Hopefully this can hold over my first grow until I have the space and money to set up something better.

More photos once website stops fuckin up.

Thanks bro, I sure hope so.

So, I decided to go all-out journal style with this thread. I'll try to post here daily with photos and the day's happenings.

No action yet, pH normal (6.0), temp hitting about 78F, humidity at about 55-58%. Water level hasn't gone down enough to notice. The real leaves are starting to get a little bigger, but that's about it.

Second set of leaves sprouted last night, and things are mostly good. I noticed that my TDS readings are out of control. I'm hitting 1800 ppm instead of my target 700-1000. Unfortunately, diluting the nutrient solution didn't really help much, so it looks like I might be draining the tank and starting over with fresh distilled water (was using aged tap upon the advice of someone I might not take advice from anymore). Oh joy!

My leaves are looking bright green in the middle and darker along the outer halves. Is this normal or a symptom of over feeding (like I said, really high TDS)?

yo man.your setup looks to me really fine and is suitable for a small harvest.as long as you leaves are green its good if they start to change ti something else like yellow or brown, then we have a problem.anyway-
keep up the good work....

All is well still. The plants are growing like mad, and all the conditions are pretty stable, except for one.

The TDS levels of the nutrient solution keep rising. For now I'm chalking it up to the plants drinking more than eating. But I'm seeing small yellow spots on some leaves which I think is due to that. For now, I'll just dilute the tank again and see what happens...

All's well still. Changed out the nutrient solution yesterday and mixed it a little light, so TDS levels are looking real good now. Growth is fantastic and no signs of pests or disease. Honestly, everything seems to be going better than I thought it would. I thought I would have fucked this up by now.
