Hey guys i have a 2x2 closet space in which i can grow a Cinderella 99 strain that my buddy gave me. But im having a hard time deciding which cfl to use if anyone has link to amazon and how to line them up for maximum light penetration. I am only looking for one plant scrog in this small space any tips for beginner would really help thanks.

If you plan to grow one plant T5s might be a waste of light in the beginning and you should set up a couple of those spiral CFLs in the beggining

in a 2x2 place, buy a magagarden, 4x4 rockwool cubes, and a 150 watt hps not cfl's...u can easily have 9 plants in the megagarden by hydro farm, its an ebb n flow. with that and a 15o hps u can easily pull a qp every harvest. thats how i started 10+ years ago in my closet w/ a mega garden and a 150 hps, stole from a store light pole...

I just put up 6 23w cfls in a spiral above the seedling hopefully we will see how it fairs out
check the kelvin value of your cfl's it should say lumens and k.. for veg u want a higher k value 6500k is best and for flower you want a 2700k cfl..your plant may do well under the cfl's for now in veg but once you switch to 12/12 you will really want a bulb w/ a lower k for good yields,, pluss regular cfl's dont work more than a foot away you need a bulb that will penetrate to ur plants branches..if u dont want to get an hps at least get a 150-250 watt cfl u can get them w/ 2700 k and 6500k for veg but they dont work in a standard light socket ..

138 watts will be plenty to get through veg for one plant in that space, very similar to what I have running right now.. one plant in a 2 ft high X 1.5 ft long X 1 ft wide cab, scrog (kinda) under about 180 watts for flower. For best results in flower you'll want around that 250 watt mark like chem mentioned.

I suggest getting ysplitters if you haven't already, cheap easy way to double the amount of your lights for better coverage. Would love to see a pic of your set up and to see how this turns out... Good luck!

Well i already have a 150 w hps which i will use as soon as the time comes to flower maybe in another 4 weeks. The 6 cfls are near the 6500kelvin scale so all is good for now, guess we will just have to see how the plant holds out doubt there will be much smell if any at all from a single c99 plant.

take some clones for another run, like i said in that 2x2 space you can easily put 6-9 plants and pull a qp out of there every harvest.. if u dont want to buy a megagarden go buy a underbed tote, some net pots, an aerator and rockwool or hydroton clay rocks..build a small DWC and triple your yield in that area..believe me you wont regret it

Cheers Chemist man I will definitely try that, since its my first grow i will experiment with soil and lighting as i need to learn to balance soil before i can balance a active nutrient system like a hydro grows which are generally less forgiving if you fuck up lol :-)

Thanks all !! keep it up i love comments to help

been growing for over 10 years and still cant grow in soil indoors for shit..outdoors is easy, just put it in the ground and water, but indoors ive always had problems w/ stem rot, mold, and pests..i actually believe growing hydro is easier than soil.

I don't know what these dots are though i think it might be light burn because i used 6 26w cfl around 2-3 inches from the seedling in spiral and it might have reached for them and just burned out. I doubt its nutrient burn as im using fox farms organic nutrient soil, i dont think nutrient burn even makes these signs on such an early plant

good luck man. im currently doing my first grow at the moment. am flowering now. one thing i learnt is that weed is pretty hard. takes quite a bit to kill it. you will notice any problems well before they die. i almost killed some of my plants by adding to much aluminium sulphate. one of my plants was completely dark dark green and completely limp and fallen over. but about 3 days after re potting it into some untainted soil it was completely recovered and now it's standing at almost 1 metre tall and flowering well.

i found that throughout my experience i have learned to listen to my plants. watch for patterns and reactions to feeding and watering, steadily refining things as time goes on. and im sure it will be the same for you. this probably wasn't of any use to you :P just wanted to say good luck.

im growing some afgooey at the moment. pretty keen to try ol cindy. im going to follow this and see how you go :)
