I'm looking to get some more information gathered together for next year already.

The questions.

What autoflowering strains have you grown? How long did it take from seedling to harvest, and what was your dry yield?

This ONLY applies to outdoor grows.

I will be starting some in april or may of 2010 outdoors and possibly more throughout the summer in addition to the normal fall harvest.

I grew LR2 outdoors earlier this year. I bought the seeds last year from Dr Chronic. Out of 10 seeds, I ended up with 2 males and 1 female. I lost most because of my mistakes. Anyway.....my goal was to get as many seeds as possible so I pulled the shorter male and kept the tallest male around till it started to flower. I was growing both in a 10 gallon pot so once the male's flowers started to open I just bent it over and shook it over the female. Of course by this time she had plenty of pistils to catch the pollen. When I did this there was so much pollen on the top of the female it look like it was covered with dust. Anyway after I did that I pulled the male, thinking for sure I should get at least 50 seeds since i wasn't going to be pollinating any more future bud growth. As the plant got bigger it really began to smell. I could smell it easily from about 5 feet away and it was only about 14 in tall approximately. It smelled great too. I waited about 75 days from seed to harvest. The whole bud took on a golden color when in the bright sunlight. I wanted to wait longer than the advertised 60 days to give the seeds time to mature. Anyway.....when I harvested and it dried and cured I was anxious to see how many seeds I got. I ended up with 3 seeds. 3 SEEDS! I couldn't believe it! How in the hell did I dump all that pollen on it and then only grow 3 seeds. And they weren't even a nice brown color. They were a little pale. Hopefully they end up being good. I was hoping to have a bunch of seeds to grow every year but oh well. As far as the total harvest weight, I have no idea. I don't have a scale. But the smoke was great. Nice uplifting high and not harsh at all. I could definitely feel the Sativa infuence I would definitely recommend this autoflower strain.

Wow, you only had 3 successful plants out of 10 seeds?

I'm not interested in autoflower as a "noob" thing. I'm interesed in it as I want early OUTDOOR harvests next year, and autoflowering plants tend to grow short and stealthy.

I would be interested in buying seeds now and pollenating a female to give myself a large number of seeds for next year.

I got some Auto Early Woder Skunk and I hated it!!! they said it would be ready in 6 weeks 18 weeks later I was still waiting I finally pulled it I was so pissed off...Never again for me. Perhaps it's where I live it's my climate here in BC it's not going to work. But here I didn't like it!! peace out Headband707

If you want to have something autoflowerin but with some beef to it, buy Mexican Ruderalis ( it is the original autofowering strain) it is very weak thc so will want to breed it with smething like white widow and make your very own potent high yielding auto-flowering strain.

I grew lowlife auto AK47 and it was great. I started around mid may and harvested around the end of july. I got about 1 ounce a plant some plants give and take a bit. The smoke was pretty good it was more of a head high witch is what i like. I did a seed run with 2 plants that got eaten by deer. I had 4 popcorn buds that i pollinated, and that let me to have about 75 seeds off of 4 little ass buds.

I grew some autoflowering strains earlier this year outdoors. I averaged wround 19 g dried. Autoflowers DO NOT like compacted soil at all, if they are grown in hot compacted soil the yield will suffer, and it will take much longer for them to show signs of sex. Also autoflowers enjoy having dry soil between waterings, not Cripsy dry like underwatering but damp. They usually take 80 days from seed outdoors but can be less.

I grew Iranian autoflowers this year and they performed well. See this board "July Harvest"with photos
Respectable yield at about 150 grams per dry and potent
