First Harvest - Afghan Kush

Just finished my first grow, 4 Afghan Kush feminized from World of Seeds. Spent a couple hours last night trimming and this was the final product. They are now hanging in my grow room in the dark with a fan on low circulating the air, then I will be curing for a couple weeks at least. They were started under a fluoro light from seedling then moved under my 400W MH conversion bulb for veg. Switched over to my HPS bulb for flower. Used Canna nutes terra vega, canna zym, rhizotonic, terrra flora and pk13-4. Soil grow. Made just about every mistake there is to make. Learned a shit load both from the grow and from this site. Mostly did a lot of research but thanks to those who answered the few q's I did have. Learned alot that will definatley help with my next grow.

It's awesome when your wife "let's" you grow isn't it?

Thanks. My next go will be the last 8 of my fem afghan kush seeds. I ordered 12 originally but only decided to go with 4 my first grow so if I killed em I would still have more. Very true about the wife "letting" me grow, but with the amount she smokes she doesn't really have a choice lol. I'm not sure what strain I will try after my afghan is all gone, but if I enjoy this stuff I might just clone some off my next grow and keep going with it.

What are you growing under? do you have a journal set up for it? I can likely try and help a fellow Canadian up his yield if I can see your set up.. or read about it is what I mean..

400W HPS with a MH conversion bulb. Soil grow. Canna Nutes. I would appreciate any help I can get to up my yield. I do not have a journal as my digi camera shit the bed, took the pic above on my phone. I wanted to make sure I could just grow before I tried doing anything else like LSTing or topping. What are your thoughts on the subject?

Buds look really good buddy. If space isn't an issue.. I would suggest that for your next grow, maybe you should transplant her into a much bigger pot right before inducing flowering (Like the day before you switch to flowering). I've gathered that your probably like me.. and only grow for personal enjoyment correct? I only grow maybe 3 plants at a time... which ends up leaving me with a few months worth of buds for personal enjoyment. ;) But yeah, anyhow.. if space is no problem.. try transplanting them into like a 2 or 3gallon pot. At least a gallon.. I would say.

I'm not familiar with soil growing.. I jumped in with hydro.. and moved on to DWC. It's easy as hell, and I could walk you through set up and maintenance..hydro, cloning, topping, lsting, lolly popping, lighting, ventilation, grow room set up, I can't help with. LSTing, or pests, not so familiar with, as I don't have reason to worry about either.. so far.. but I know a few really helpful guys on here that are like encyclopedias on anything I am not sure of.. and I'm honest, if I don't know for sure from first hand experience, I'll tell you what I know and let you know it's not first hand knowledge.

Lots of people thank the site for all the help.. I personally get PM's all the time thanking me, or asking for more information.. to assume that no one has ever said thanks is pompous and I would think that with rep like you have you would at least do a search to make sure of something like that before posting an asinine comment like that insulting the many people that talk about how you can learn everything you need to know to grow weed on this site.. fuck I read it all the time.. if I didn't thank you before.. it's cause you didn't help me.
Go back to toke and talk and build your rep by posting pictures of your bong collection and regurgitating "deep thoughts by Jack Handy" that you thought were funny.

Thanks. I am definately interested in lst and topping and will be researching it in the near future. If I have any q's I can't seem to get answered by some searching I will drop you a line. I don't think I will be starting my next batch until August so that will give me some time at least. PS I don't think ganjaluvr seen that comin' BAM.

Ya - let me know if you have anything you can't find.. it's all here somewhere, but I always got better search results for RIU if I searched on google for some reason....another good search place to turn up some good free info is on utube.. lots of grow videos are broken into 10 minute sections and you can just watch them in order.

Yeah same here. When I'm looking for something I just type what I'm looking for in the google toolbar followed by rollitup and seem to get pretty good results that way. Still gotta sift through a lot of bullshit, but what do you do. I got a few videos saved on my computer, but they all tend to contradict eachother in little ways... Personal preference has a lot to do with it I have found. Even on here. Everyone thinks their way is the best lol.
