nice...! Can't wait to see it. Right now i have to think quick about what to do for flowering lights. I know the plants will still almost double in sixe because they're autos and they will be kinda vegging (beefing up) and flowering.

Would i be better off using mixed cfls (reds and blues), or getting a cheap 150w HPS setup? What will give me more yield. Thanks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Joe! Love that song LOL! Nice looking setup I'm going to pull up a seat if it's cool. My local hydro shop sell's a 150 for $89 not bad at all. U should check out my cab maybe we could learn from each other as we go. Great hobby don't u think? Keep up the good work. Oh the 150 hps will def give ya some heat issues in the cab.

welcome aboard. i'm new at this too, and i LOVE IT! told my friends if it becomes legal i'm going all out commercially growing.lol :P if i get hps then i'll move to cabinet that i'll hack drawer supports away and make the front swing open, i'd most likely try to make larger resorvoir retro aerogarden. what do you think. Its 3 times the size of this box

if i add co2 to air i heard plants can handle higher temps but you have to watch nutes more carefully. this way they grow faster. what do you think about the co2 pads you hang?

Only thing is I think unless u have a sealed room than ur plants dont use enough co2 to make a diff. I'll do some research on that to make sure. I just did something new in my thread to keep the temps better. When u get a sec click my sig and tell me what u think. Temps r 81 right now.

well i could not run the exhaust in there now and see what happens to humidity. Right now with fan running its 60%, which i think isn't too bad and temps are 84 F. I'll have to keep an eye on temp though. Smell aint to big a problem, yet, cuz i have window fan on exhaust, so smell is contained in room and doesn't go to rest of house, with the negative air pressure in room.

Do you think the pads will make a difference?

i originally thought about using an aerogarden but backed out. instead i went another route which is my current grow. i have a 150hps on a single plant and it seems to do pretty good. of course now that i have seen what one can do i want to try two in that box lol. i had my plant originally in a 2.5 gallon bucket and the roots almost filled it up before i started flowering. i was curious as to how all those roots fit in that aero resevore. i have one sitting in my kitchen as we speak growing just regular kitchen herbs and can't picture it. so if you could, would you take a picture of the roots if it won't mess ya up.

Hey Joe I'm getting that 150 we talked about. I should have it installed in about 4-5 days and I'll let u know how the temps do with it.

Yes, with the aero's 1 gallon reservoir i will not be at at max yield prob, but i got one 6" air stone in there and roots are doing ok. A lot of them. But OK~.

I now wanna build a custom reservoir for my next grow measuring 4-1/2'x2-1/2' for 5 bigger plants in a staggered layout. Each plant would have 1-1/2' round area for foilage. But anyway...enough with my plannin next one and check out pictures of this one.

Btw... it is starting to flower!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys, it been about 6 days since my last post. I apologize.

Here are somethings that've changed.

1- Moved swag outta cabinet into friends house and centered aerogarden in cabinet.
2- Changed the 2 daylight cfls i had on swag to one warm cfl on both side of aerogarden.
3- I also trimmed a bunch of shade coverin fan leaves, but it was right before it started to flower. It won't do them any harm, but if i knew it was about to flower i would've trimmed less off. oh well.

This is the setup now with 118w total in CFL.

Hey chainseeker,

Hope all is well. I had this crazy idea. Let me know if how it sounds. Since my cab is only 11" deep, 23" wide and 30" high, even if i put a 150w hps in there it will overheat.

so............

I'm thinking of getting a small 150 hps unit with the sealed glass on the bottom. Then cutting out a rectangular hole on top of my cab that will be the same size as the bottom of hps shade/glass.Just sit it on top, open the vents in hps for cooling or even but a 120mm computer fan on the side to move air through it. This way the light fixture is not inside the box, and minimal heat enters box, box still is sealed. (Partially, air being sucked out creates negative pressure).

What do you think. I might do this today. If so, I'll post pics. :D

As a newcomer, I'm considering modeling the Aerogarden/cabinet concept shown here for simplicity sake. What kind of yeild do you expect with a unit like that Aerogarden? And what model Aerogarden is it?

Flower Power is amazing! It's the first auto-strain I've grown and I'm loving it! I subscribed to see how yours turns out. Here's mine - 100_1105.jpg
