Well im almost done setting up my grow space.I sectioned off the corner of a room. Im horrible wih geometry but its about 5and a half feet by 3 f wide, an about 6 feet tall.

Lighting: I got a real nice relector with a cool tube. 1 400watt hps and 1 400watt mh bulb. i mounted a nice muffin fan to it to keep it cool. Is that a good idea or not?

I got the reflector hanging from some easy rollers that are mounted up in my roof. The power cord running up through the roof and out the other side to the ballast.

I got a nice digital ballast that works with HPS and MH mounted to the wall outside the grow space.

Its sectioned off with white and black 6 mill visqueen plastic. Question i have the white side up on the table should i turn it around so the table is black and non reflective?

I got a 13' oscillating fan on the way and a lil 6' clamp on fan to blow up through the roots and the underside of the plants. Im going to buy another one of those little clamp on
ones there quite nice.

Im going to put 4, 3 gallon pots in there and am gowing some BC cronic.

Ive been growing for 1-2years in my r.v. But that was just a $50 light and seeds that i would find in ym dope. I really tried to take this grow to the next level. I know alot of it is sloppy but i tried my best lol. Heres the pics:

Ill post later what ive done to improve after i get some feedback. Thats why i came to rollitup i wasent getting enough feedback and heard it was great. So here i am

can you not just get some dryer ducting and some duct tape and run it outta the room through you oh so thick walls :D

what about running it to your wall... then down the wall and out of the room... atleast some of it wil make it outta there... How many plants you thinking of putting in there?
Also you should transplant your plants from smaller pots to larger pots.... it helps them grow better, having the roots fill out and then having the plant grow up abit... then you will use the whole pot and have a nice strong healthy plant :)

Nice job!
Although you do need an exhaust, that muffin fan on your hood will just spread the heat around the growroom.
Have you done a dry run with it? Turn all the gear on and leave it for a while, then come back and check the temperature and humidity. Without a way of exchanging the air it will quickly heat up. Ideally you should be recycling the air every minute, and at least every three with HID lighting.
Your room is approx. 100cubic feet, so you want a 100cfm or more fan pulling air across the bulb, then out of the growspace.
If your ducting is more than a few feet long, has any bends in it, or has a filter on the end then an inline fan just won't cut it I'm afraid, they're not good at handling static pressure. Better to go with a squirrel cage or centrifugal (vortex) fan, and bump up the cfm to around 150 just to make sure it can cope. Seriously, get the very best fan you can afford, you can't have too much ventilation.
Also make sure you have a passive intake slightly smaller than the diameter of your exhaust, creates a bit of negative pressure and stops any air/smells leaking out of your growspace.
Hope this helps!

(sorry if some of this dosent make sense copied and pasted from my post on another forum.)

Its a comair rotron muffin fan i bought to mount up and blow cool air through the cool tube and on the bulb. I thought about getting and inline fan and ducting running through on end to the other to keep it cool and extract heat but it seemed to expensive and confusing at the time.
Ive been playing around with a few heaters trying to get the temp nice and stable. Anyways about the passive air intake. I understand how important it is to have new air entering the room constantly. But all that ducting and blowers and everything seemed so confusing and expensive. Could i get by without one? I got a few fans around the room im using circulating the air through it. And i always leave the door open so new air can enter. But after i make some more money i plan on doing all that and buying are carbon filter and making the whole room a grow room. Just a cash flow problem right now. Gotta pay rent first. The easy rollers are working alright for me. They are bastards to lock and you can tell there pieces of grap. Hope they work for a good while though i bent the shit outta the chain mounting v shaped magiigys to mount my muffin fan. thought i was being resorcefull. god damn. Forget to mention i got a really nice air cleaner. Its cost about 4grand (i didn't buy it got it from friend) And is used to clean the air in hospitals. How can i utilize this?

My friend hooked me up with a nice 6' In-line duct fan. So screw the me being lazy im going to set up ducting From the grow space though the roof and the the room beside this one. it says CFM up to 250 will this be good for getting new air to the grow space?

I moved the timer and powerbar outside the grow space. I don't even need the power bar anymore and all i need to power in the grow space is my muffin fan. I ran an extension cord from the room beside mine up through the roof and out to power the ballast. because i was using way to much power for one room. It was hell but necessary everything is running alot smother now.

If the door is always open, then it will act as a passive intake, since a passive intake is basically just a hole that lets air through, there is no blower, no ducting and no expense. For flowering you will need to make sure the room is completely dark for 12 hours a day, meaning you'll need a light trap which lets air through but not light (remember that light can't turn corners).
So you just gotta blow that hot air out of there. That fan you have should do the job, as long as there isn't much restriction in the ductwork. As I mentioned before, inline fans don't handle static pressure well, so keep the duct as short and straight as possible, if you have to bend it, make it a long, smooth curve rather than a short, sharp bend.
I haven't a clue how useful that air cleaner would be, it looks a bit huge. Does it have an intake pipe? Or does it just clean the surrounding air? It's not the sort of thing I would want taking up valuable space in my growroom. Unless you can figure out a way for it to operate remotely, forget it imo. Don't worry too much about cleaning the air just yet, until you're getting close to flowering anyway.
With any luck that makes sense, I'm a bit baked atm.

Finally done! It was hell getting all this setup. But im proud of the outcome. I got 6 inch ducting running from my grow space through the roof and out into my sisters old room when she came to live with me a few months back. Got the inline fan all hooked up and its working nice. Pushing a decent amount of nice warm super clean air into the grow space. I also took all the duck tape down a re-did everything with tuck tape and tighten the corners and everything looks alot better now. My babes (hopefully) cracked and im waiting a few days before i put them under light. I got a 13 inch oscillating fan in there unfortunately its black but i don`t think it makes much of a reflective difference. I did this all by myself which reach really sucked especially the ducting because my friend ditched on me. But im really happy how it all turned out. Looks great. Few questions. How much should i water after i germinate them and put them into soil? Whats the best light schedule for veg in your opinion 17,18,19,full 24? Anyways thats about it here`s the pics.
