wet weight for that one branch is 34.3 grams after trimming. even the smaller buds are dense as hell. super sticky ill post pics when i get some more batteries for my camera. what does 34.3 turn into after drying?
some where around 8.5 grams dry weight give or take a few 75% is usually what you lose

Sup Greenthumbs. Just read through and looks great! As for choping that branch i would say if it is for dried out. Maybe cut it with a Clean razor at the main stem, depending on how bad the whole Branch is. Its just a guess but I am pretty sure trimming off main stem is sketchy no matter what in flower. I could be wrong, but im pretty sure it should be ok. If ya get a chance you should check out my CFL First Time grow. As for the journal Ill be around Hangin out, Consider me subb'd.

Thanks for stopping by Gprime. I got it off and could not believe how dense the buds are. Did quick dry on just a little and it lit me up to say the least. Going to be some great smoke.

Anyone have any idea what strain it might be? It has almost a sweet and sour smell to it.

yea it was a lower branch. actually the side by side of the lowest branches on the plant. looked at the buds I started drying last night just a few minutes ago and it was shocking how much they change when they are drying. what is a good measuring stick for when they are dry enough for curing.

Well it has now been 51 days since my girls went into flowering. Not quite sure exactly when they are going to be done but I was hoping it would take no more than 65 days. So hopefully in 2 weeks they will be ready to harvest. I cant see why it would take them any longer than that. They are still fattening up a little bit but me personally I don't see a whole lot of new growth. Here is some bud porn give me your thoughts:

ok I will try to shoot for that. it is tempting to cut earlier but i guess going on the longer scale it will help them develop more. i guess patience is a virtue. I just cant believe I have to wait like 20 more days now lol.

Well I had to chop the biggest plant today cutting it short about 15 days. Didn't really want to do it but my growing partner is going out of the country for 2 years and he helped me when I was out of town and he went half way on supplies so I had to go ahead and do it. Went with the biggest plant because it was the most mature. Even started to see some of the leaves turn purple which I did not expect. Anyways it is done now and I still have 2 great looking plants that are going to get all the time in the world to finish properly. One is the same strain as the one I chopped the other is a northern lights. Ill post pics of them tomorrow but for now here is the harvest off the biggest girl. What do you think I will get out of her?
Biggest cola wet weight and partial trim: 32.3 grams

Always sad to have to chop a plant before it's prime, but no doubt it is still frosty, so not a total loss. Very cool of you to accomodate your partner though, and at least you still have the 2 other plants, one of which is the same genetics. So you'll still be able to experience that strain the way it's supposed to be! :) Good work though, and keep it up!

Thanks meta it has been a lot of work getting to know the plants and learning to do the right things. I think my future grows will be much more successful.
How much do you think she will weigh dried out?

Hmm...Assuming that pics 5 and 7 are the total harvest, and the wet weight of the main cola was 32g's, I'd say somewhere in the 20ish range, but I'm pulling for more!

Sweet if I hit 20 for this plant alone I will be pumped. Was not expecting that from my first grow. Still have 2 more to go and now the 2 that are left are getting much more light attention so I am hoping that they will bulk up alot over the next 20 or so days

Oh totally, they're gonna fatten up nicely, you'll see. After your plants fatten up to their full potential, sadly the full gravity of chopping this plant will hit ya...But you'll be so stoked with your babies that it won't make a difference! Growing is awesome!!

First of all I will show you some pics of my first harvest. Only a couple because I was being lazy but ended up getting 32.1 grams of dry weight off of her. Which I was excited about.

And here are the 2 ladies I have left the bigger one is same strain as the first plant I harvested and the smaller one is northern lights. The bigger plant has some problems but I think it is just burn from the lights can anyone confirm? Think I am going to harvest at least the bigger plant at day 75 unless visibly ready sooner. Thoughts???
