Imo, it's not the watering on the leaves. When that happens you get spots on the leaves where the water was before evaporating. Your yellowing around the perimeter of the leaf is too "perfect" for that to be the case. i don't think tap water is the issue either. As far as I know, tap water isn't that poisonous - people drink it. Though that really depends on where you are and where the water is from. Balancing the ph is mostly to maximize bite intake from the roots - they absorb them better around 6 (correct me if I'm wrong!)
If you have time release feeding I'd again ask if you are giving 100% of the recommended dose, as my guess with what I know and see is that you may be over feeding (too concentrated) for seedlings in soil (keep in mind I'm a coco kinda guy).
Cheers!

I wasn't commenting on the yellowing of the leaves. I just saw water on the leaves in his picture and I was giving him a heads up not water the leaves.
I made the mistake of watering the leaves also.
You water the soil not the leaves, because when you water the leaves: the water weighs down the plant and leaves a residue when the water evaporates.

The soil I use is a potting mix from miracle grow. It's supposed to feed a plant for 6 months. It is pretty loaded with nutrients and I have no control over the intake. I am using the mg straight potting mix, nothing else.

So I have been doing hours of research and from what I gathered, my environment and other peoples experiences, etc. I have been Keeping my lights to close to my plants causing them to fold in toward themselves. Trying to sweat more to cool off. And in doing this the edges moved closer to the light burning the edges. I since raised the lights, also turning my fan up slightly. It has been few hours I can see the difference. The leaves are leveling out now. Since I do not have even a thermometer in my box I have been assuming it was cool enough. And now I am second guessing that, I use my hands to judge how hot it is inside my box. But I have realized that my hands are not to sensitive to heat because I work on hot car parts all day...anyway I will post pictures now and tomorrow. My guess as to why this is happening is hypothetical and the hypothesis is made up from research I have done and not personal experience.plus this is the only issue i can eliminate until payday... I can get a hygrometer and a ph meter soon. And of course a thermometer...pics of the girls.

Girls look happy, just woke em Up. Bagseed has her 5 leave leafs coming out, it's such a cool thing to see this happen and have a part in it. Also the pineapple express has her first 3 leaves out and starting on node 2.

Just added four more light :) lady's are loving it. Bag seed is looking great after topping, broken stem has repaired. Lots of undergrowth coming out. Pineapple express is onto node 3 now. Staying really low and bushy. Nodes stacked tight in both plants.

Glad to see they are doing good!
How big are your pots though? Are you planning to transplante them to bigger ones or are you going to flower your plants small (soon)?

Thanks max, I appreciate you visiting again haha. I'm currently using 6 inch pots, I have seen decent plants come from them, I'm only shooting for 2 or 3 feet tall. But regardless I'm going to home Depot to grab some 1 gallon pots

Heh! I love browsing journals while playing the waiting game with my grow! They finished stretching a week or two ago and other than watering and monitoring them, I'm free to browse!!!
The pots just looked smaller than I thought in that last shot, when compared to the cfl bulbs for scale. Even if you flower them small I would still give them a good size pot to get fat nuggets :-)
My 2 cents as usual,
Cheers!

I do the same when not at work, lots of good info and entertainment. Yeah I think bigger pots are definetly going to help out, and smaller pots require more attention bla bla.

Bagseed has some amazing undergrowth after topping. Also has a skunky Smell to it... odd for veg but not unheard of. Pineapple express also looks so beautiful. No issues so far, both strains seem to like miracle grow haha... getting some 1 gallon pots tomorrow. Kind of nervous to transplant haha. Also, I found a gram of bio diesel buds from a local dispensary outside the smoke shop I go to today. Very good quality buds to, I ran it over though haha found it getting back into my car, anyway I took a random photo of it... pretty good pic.
and here is that Supa sexy undergrowth from my bagseed.

Got 2 new pots for the lady's, but only enough mg for one to be potted...doh. anyway, transplant went well, no root damage, plant spent almost no time out of medium to minimize air to the roots... Annd got some ph strips :). Photo time
