And it was easy! Thanks to you guys.

Been a while since I've done or grown mushrooms. I did a grow a couple years ago using the PF Tek and it was a pain in the ass. Ate too many and scared myself now I'm giving it a go again.

Golden Teacher using popcorn tek mixed with mushroom compost.

How do I keep these going after I pick them? Last time I did cakes I grew more than I needed and threw them away after the first harvest.

Can I case later? There's almost 2 inches of mushroom compost in those trays.

why use mushroom compost? and I never thought of it, might work.

keep everything at 80 or 90 th, mist them once or twice a day.

you threw them out? there are people here who will hunt you down and take your stoner license away for that
maybe they will just kill you.

turn your oven to warm. put your fresh mushrooms on the top rack and prop the oven door open. come back the next day, make sure they are absolutely dry, they should snap if you bend them.

put them in a tight sealing jar. wrap that jar with aluminum foil. put it in the freezer.

now someone,e is going to come along and say you should never bake mushrooms like that because it affects potency.

they will be theoretically right. but throwing them away affects potency more.

and I dont want you to bother yourself with silica gel or fans or threads.

most never notice the difference

Sorry, I threw the cakes away, not the mushrooms. I never dunked and tried for more. I have a really good dehydrator and silica packets for the mushrooms. I'm just wondering how to keep the mushrooms growing in the pans, or will they keep growing on their own until there's no more food/moisture?

I'm kind of stupid this morning.

just keep them very moist. you will continue to get flushes until it contaminates. the first limit is oh, as the substrate is consumed, it becomes more acidic. as it becomes more acidic it becomes more likely to grow green mold.

the second limit is moisture. it stops when it dries out.
