You should change your reservoir every week. Clean it out completely and start with new water. Add nutes and then adjust the pH. Check the pH every couple days and adjust if you need to. You should flush your plants the last 10-14 days of flower. That means you should only feed it water. Helps to flush out all of the nutrients before you chop it down. Will make it taste better when you smoke. Moving your lights closer will only help. Put your hand at the height of your plants. If it burns you then you need to move your lights up. If it doesn't then move your lights down till it does. When it starts to burn then back the light off about 4" and your good. When you switch to flower (12/12) then only water your plants when the lights are off. 3-4 times for 15 minutes is fine.

I agree with everything you said until you got the watering with lights off.
First of I'll point out that he is growing in a DWC setup...

But what is watering during lights off supposed to do? I'm not disagreeing with you but it just different than what I have read.
It sounds like your describing an ebb and flow(for 15 minutes) with your watering schedule, obviously if your plant is going to dry out the medium it's going to happen during the day when the lights are on, and if you water once during lights off or just before lights off you shouldn't need to water again until the lights come on because the media will still be soaked. The only way I could see this being beneficial is if you were flushing the plant. Could you explain or was that just a typo?

Build a 5 gal DWC bucket with me for your next round! I'm starting mine after I get my first cutting ready.

Do you have instructions? Not a very good carpenter at all. Wish I could use my comp eng skills in growing.

It didn't yield that much, won't have dry weight until I cure it. I think I better stick with my flood and drain, I could see flooding the hole house with that bucket. Have a 2x2 flood table coming.

Better than nothing man. It'll smoke just right though. Cure it in a mason jar with an orange peel. Makes it smell amazing. Flooding isn't a problem when you've got secure holes with grommets and a proper valve installed. Makes emptying the resorvoir a piece of cake.

That is what worries me, secure holes, proper valve installed correctly. I don't trust myself to do that correctly. Been reading a lot on soaking your roots for 3 days in the dark before chop to drown your roots. That is suppose to make the dry and cure process quicker and better. And also hang the plant with all the leaves on it to dry and then trim to go in to the jars.
