First Time Grow 400 watt RDWC Lavendar OG Grow week 10.5

Ive been reading on this site for a while gathering information but this is my first time posting.

after lots of research i decided to try a RDWC system for the exponential growth rate this system provides.

the reason i posted this thread is becasue i was so suprised on how healthy this crop is turning out for the lack of amount of effort that is being put into it. I havent had any meters what so ever to check any of the waters ph ect. this is my first time growing mj to so thats another reason im suprised how well its turning out but i guess research pays off.

This crop was strated on October 22 2009

I have 4 buckets in the left side of a closet with a sheet dividing the closet in half with the res in the right side. I have a pretty strong squirl cage fan on a shelf in the top of the closet that taakes hot air from the top of the left side and dumps into the right side of the close with the res. i leave the right side of the close door cracked so hot air expells out of it. the left side is left open with an oscalating fan pumping cold air into the closet.

DAY 1

So the first pic is my 4 buckets in the left side of the closet. The white lines are the air lines to the bubble stones and the brown are the feeder lines. there all connected together at the bottom to a resivor to the right.
pic 2 is the right side of the closet u can see the resivor under the bucket.
pic 3 is inside the res. u can see a float valvue which we ended up not even using. submerged under the float valve is a 150 GPH pump connected to a 1/4 tube pinched off with banna line outputs. The white pvc is the return lines for the bucekts.
pic 4 is a close up of one of the clones, u can see the feeder line in action. The feeder lines only stay on while the lights on!!!
Pic 5 is just a glimpse of the bubbles coming up under the pods.

The first pic is from day 20 that back clone finally bulked up.

November 16 2009 Day 25 Second water change

pic 2 is only five days later from the previous and they almost doubled in size.

pic 3 is all 4 out side the closet while we cleaned the res and the buckets. u can see the gh nuts were using in the background. all the leaves are lookin nice and healthy.

Pic 4 & 5 are 2 dif clones. you can see there developing a nice white root system. there growing straight down into the bubbles so the roots grow in a cylinder shape due to round air stones.

Pic 6 is clones back in with fresh water at full strength nuts.

December 6 2009 Day 45

I didnt get a chance to see the plants for almost 3 weeks but we switched to 12/12 on 11/26/09. these pics are 10 days into 12/12. i wish we would have flipped to 12/12 soon becasue they got huge, bigger than we wanted.

you can see there starting to develop pistols and the ruts are looking pretty good but have a slight tent of brown. we ran straight water for a couple days after these pics and it seemed to help take sum of the brown away so i assume it was jusst dirty roots not root rot.

December 12 2009 Day 51

Everything seems to be on the right track were now running full strength blooming nuts. Nugs are starting to form beautifully. The main colas are already starting to shoot up thats the exact reason i wish i switched to 12/12 sooner.

Next crop use some blood meal to make those sweet ladies really pop in to flower. nice job

December 21 2009 Day 60

another water change day, the first 3 pics are b4 we pulled them out to do a water change. this time it was very difficult to get them out becasue there getting huge and fragile. this is the last time they have come out of the close for a water change.

The 5th pic is one of the tops
pic 6 is a 4 out (sorry there blurry)
Pic 7 FAT ASS ROOT BALL :-P looks healthy too

NEW YEARS 2010 Day 70

So they got so big they were growing almost into the bulb so we put the light on an angle because we couldn't pull it up any higher due to a shelf in the closet.

so the first pic is me standing up looking down on the crop so u cant see the main colas but damn there looking good.
Pic 2 & 3 are just two shoots of different main colas but they look dank as hell and the smell is becoming so strong and dank smelling.
The last pic is just one of the side nugs

January 4 2010 Day 73

so here we are week 10.5

The closest plant on the right was growing to close to the bulb so we had to bend it to the left with the other 2 main colas as you can see in the first pic.
I took pic 2 & 3 just as a scale shoot so u can picture how big they are. i didnt have a tape measure handy at the time so i used my "pinky thumb scale" i measured it later its 9 inches from tip of pinky to tip of my thumb.

So i think there gonna be done within a week and i was wondering about the flush process. should i start running straight water right now? Also does it matter if i use tap water for a flush or does it have to be RO water? Finaly ive heard if i leave them in pitch black for the last 2 days the crystals will swell a good amount is that true?

from what i can see it looks like you might be harvisting a bit early go to harvest & curing fdto blk has a nice little tutorial on when to harvest youve done good & im not trying to tell you how to grow just sharing my thoughts on what icould see in the photo. i have a ph.meter but no tds. meter i know 3 people[2 whose grows i have personaly seen] who dont have meters & do fine. those things i think you accumulate as you go i'm on first b/p grow & been looking & posting here for a few mos. now i kind of like the bucket idea & one day like to try it

cool thanks for the feedback bro. yea i basically posted this when i did so i could get sum critisim from other fellow growers during the crucial phase of the grow so i dont fuck up like clipping to early cuz i heard thats one of the most common mistakes.
Yea id say try out the bucket method it has a large gallon to plant ratio so its pretty easy to maintain.

so i think im gonna chop this cop on the 20th anyone got any advice or tips they can toss my way? this is my first crop so any advice would be gladly taken and would help me out quite a bit. thnx
