First Time Grow Competition

wirrten by noobs for noobs, we should all post our grow journals when we get growing in this thread

and then see who is dong the best grow and its for first time growers only! just so we dont feel ashamed in front of the bigger boy sh haha, so we dont have anything epic to match up to

just evaluate each others work

how about not just first timers just amatures? people that haven't been growing for years those would be novices just beginners lol that way you can have more people in the contest

This is a pretty sweet idea! I would definitley be down! I'm currently on my first grow, there's a link in my sig to the journal... Are you wanting to post pix on here? Or just links to journals? Or what?

i was thinking have journals in here or we could have links to journals in here but have topic discussion in this forum

yeh ur right just amatures and they can say whether or not its their 1st grow, but yeh beginners but not total beginners.

cos then we can get information from experts which will mean more because they can actually see the grow rather than just ask them questions about it

so yeh lets get some ppl down for this, im not growing right now but when i do my grow journal will be in here, and thats what will bump the thread up and then other people comment and post links to journals but you should also post pictures and updates in this one

should be a laugh, im so high why did i come up with this idea lol

Im on my 2nd grow link is in sig.... is this just for outdoor growers i was just cruzing the threads was thinking about maybe trying outdoor summer in alaska super short but days hella long just moved here last summer whould like to see what a plant does outside.

if its a competition, then maybe it would be fair to have outdoor and indoor seperate? as the results will be a lot different and the ways you go about growing will differ greatly,

i just logged on and i dont even remember starting this thread up. i was seriously wasted.

so yeh we could use this thread as like a master journal, so we can link to each others journals and find them all through this one thread. then come harvest day we can settle on a winner!!

Im game this will be my first serious grow. 8+ northern lights 6+ white widow and 6 maui waui. Good luck all

My first grow consists of two plants. 1 is bag seed the other is of the G-Funk strain.
2 CFL's 48W, 4 Fluroescent lights 40W, 1 CFL Ballast(dunno wtf it actually is, but holds four 1Ft CFLS) unknown wattage.
The G-Funk has a flowering season of 8 weeks, it is already on week 7.
The bag seed(obviously due to it being unknown strain we do not know the flowering for it.) is also starting to look very ready.
The orange tinge is starting to develop on the buds of the bag seed, and I will be putting it in pure darkness for 36-48 hours soon.
I will definitely post pictures up soon.

awesome guys thanks for the replies. i dont know if it will be messy having a few people posting pictures in here, i doubt it, although full journals in here from more than one person may get a little confusing, but pictures none the less.

id also encourage to you to have your own grow journal whether you feel is the right place to post it.

and of course if you have journals already then post links, like you guys have done!

i just cant wait till i can join in all the fun and start my journal in here =D

This is my first grow. I built a 30x6 room. Insulated it. I have mylar across three walls, and have reflective insulation on one wall. I currently have 15 plants that I started from seed. 5 Wonder Women, 5 AK48, and 5 Full Moon. I am using 4 300W CFL's and a 300W LED grow spectrum. I have ducted outside air, a humidifier, a box fan for air movement, I make up batches of water, sugar and yeast for my CO2 and have an exhaust system mounted in the ceiling. I am doing a soil grow. I can post pics later if we're doing a pics included thread.
I am currently running my lights 24/7. I started from seed (first day of the paper towel method was 1/19).
My seedlings currently are about 4"

yeah i never even noticed it was in the outdoor growing section, I had found it under the New Posts button. My bad.
either have an admin delete my posts or have this moved like lucorpan suggested, so that us first timers can continue with this

First 2 real grows were outdoor backyard from Jan-April then from May to September In 09'. But this year I am going guerilla for obvious reasons. I will post links, pics and partake in your contest. I will have a few spot, so there will be many different turnouts, plants, diff buds, all bagseed, but from diff people and batches.

i just put it in outdoor growing for some reason, just cos i was in the forum anyway and i thought hey my grow is gonna be outside yeh..

yeh lucorpan post pics by all means why not, sounds like a sweet setup, going proper on it im going as cheap as possible!!
