First time grow in garage

Alright so this is my first grow and I was just wondering what would be the best type (if any) nutrient product i need to add to my soil. I'm going to be using Black Gold Soil. Another thing that I found myself questioning is... is it ok that I keep the regular garage lights OFF and just keep the floros ON or should I keep the garage lights on AND the flors?? sounds like a possible stupid question but I want this to go well and I'm trying to avoid all mistakes possible. Also i was wondering if it were possible to get purple on my plant because I am hoping to have a super purple ICE plant... I think it would be interesting.. haha

Oh boy first grow huh, well prepare yourself for many mistakes. Just learn from them. Your garage lights will have no benifits to plants. So it's up to you if you want them on or not.
If your plant is a purple variety I have read and heard that at the last two weeks in bloom, lower the temps by I think 15 degrees at night and it will help bring out the color.
