First Time Grow Problems

Alright well this is my first time ever growing anything so I know i'm fucking something up. I'm currently growing 2 seeds, one barely just broke through the ground and isn't looking that great, the other one is getting there. I have a closet grow with 2 100wat CFL light bulbs set up. When i planted the seeds I might have planted them a lil early, the roots weren't very long coming out of the seeds but I didn't think it would matter, a few things are making me realize that might have been a mistake but the roots have grown alot since then, enough to support it standing up out of the ground now. Anyways the seed that has broke through is all droopy and not looking that great. I've been checking the soil frequently to make sure the plants have enough water, and i've been making sure to only water it when it feels dry a bit down to prevent overwatering it. Here's a few pics:

In the second picture you can also see that under the right side of the leaf its a lil brown :/

Tell me what i'm doing wrong and if I can save this plant. D;

dood thier is nothing wrong leave it alone ..... and put those cfl 2 inches away from the top of the plant ....ull see growth every day small pot means less watering so u wouldnt have to water that thing at least for a week just leave it alone i know u want to touch and smell and see the roots that when ur gonna go wrong just leave it alone.

there is nothing wrong with your seedlings my friend. There just starting to come out, in a few weeks you should have your first true set or two of leaves. I'm sure you did your homework before you started this hobby. Do yourself a favor and read as much as you can before your plants take off like a bat out of hell. Color at this stage means little to nothing. Your working with seeds, not a true plant. Over time you will see developed plant growth with color lacking in them. Until that time come, NO nutrients, pocking with your finger or putting the bulbs so close they dry up and burn/kill your plant. The only thing those seedling need is light and PH'd water.

Good luck my friend :peace:

I screwed up (killed) my first 2 grows cause I touched it and worried about it too much.
I guess we all get paranoid at first :/

I'm trying to finish my first grow now, one thing this hobby will teach you is patience!! Lol...your babies are fine...just keep your lights close, don't over water and don't over feed them...
Good luck!!

i have had good luck with babies in a sunny window. Of course, if they're used to flouro, then the sunlight might be too much for them. I think the photons or the ultraviolet light or something protects them from molds and stuff.

Plants are green which is good just overwatered.... its very easy to overwater a seedling...

Just kick back and let nature do its thing
