First Time Grower- Closet Grow Question

Hey yall. I've recently decided that I am going to start growing my own. I don't really want to have to make a large investment with a hydroponic system because I'll prolly mess some stuff up since it's my first time and soil is more forgiving. My real question is about my closet. Since I'm prolly gonna be growing in there I was wondering how low to hang the lights and how many plants yall think I could fit in there. The closet it 3' long and 2' deep. Also there is a door on the closet.

i current jus finished my first indoor closet grow and only had 2 plants which were decent size in a 6' long by 3' deep 8' high....wth that being said u only have one half the size so fitting 2 in there should be plenty and space will prolly get a lil crammed...the lights jus depend on what ur using..??? so what lights are u gonna use lol....like said 2 plants with that lil space is plenty

My closet grow is 2.5ft wide, 5.5ft tall and 3.5ft deep. I currently have 6 plants on the go. However, I am running 12/12 from seed, so my plants flower as soon as they're mature enough. They don't usually get that big, but I had this one bagseed sativa which grew to 3ft and then hermied ¬_¬ Lol. My Cannalope Kush is 17inches tall and 1.5weeks into flowering.

yea if ur doin 12/12 from seed than shit could probably fit 10-12 girls in there...mine vegged for 35 days fimmed as well so was quite bushy lil over 2ft tall.....what kinda lights ya got?
