First time grower...my set up list. Any suggestions?

Hello all! I am brand new to growing and I already ordered some auto flower seeds to grow. I am in the process of finding all the equipment I need for my first indoor DWC grow. I would suggest getting a filter asap better safe than sorry.

Regardless of the smell you still need an extractor fan to remove the heat and exchange air X amount of times to keep the temps within working range but to also keep the levels of co2 the plants need to grow properly. You will need a filter because it will smell.

Thanks you guys for the quick responses....it seems like extractor fan with filter is needed. Maybe I should just go with a prebuilt grow box. I had my eye on this one in the 3ft. version. I think the price is pretty good to. What do you guys think?

I don't want to be a dream crusher but that is just a load of gimmicks wrapped up with a stupid price tag.

Buy yourself a small tent, buy yourself a filter and fan and take a look at quantum boards.

If noise is an issue (real fans are loud) then look at the stealth section on here and build yourself something for cheaper than that over priced package. BTW that light is worth about £20, the fans worth £20, the bucket thing is only good for cloning and could be built for £20 so where they get a price tag like that is beyond me..

I have seen lots of folks building stealth cabs on here and use fans similar to that and build there own carbon filter for very cheap too. There are designs on this very forum to do so.
I would imagine a few cfl bulbs would do better than that light.

Like I say I don't like to crush the dreams of those trying to get into growing their own, especially someone so enthusiastic but sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind. All I see with that kush cabinet is a massive price tag that wont really grow much.

Don't be put off, check out the micro stealth section and see what other people are putting together.
Work out what your priorities are, is sound a problem? Will you be sleeping in the same room? Do you want to grow enough to support your own needs or do you just want to grow something?

Thanks for the reply! I do agree that the prices are alittle high but I have been doing research quite a bit and from what I have been seeing these prices are about normal unless you build from scratch which I do not want to do. The prebuilt cabinets are very expensive no matter where you buy them from. The closet I will be using will be in my bedroom so yes I will be sleeping in the same room. The noise factor won't be much an issue since I am a sound sleeper. I am more leaning towards going with my original plan by buying the tent and all the other stuff. I see that some people are saying the LED light I chose was cheap in price but the reviews seem to be very good for the light. I only plan on growing 1-2 plants (autoflower) at a time and it is just for my own personal use. The only issue I can see with my set up would be the carbon filter placement since the tent is only 24"x24"x56, I don't think I would have enough room on the inside so I would have to hook it up on the outside.

From the list I provided, if any of you think something should be changed please let me know with your suggestions on what exactly I should look into with links if possible. The led light I was looking at is available on amazon.

Yeah your first plan is far better than the second and yeah the vipar is a cheap light but it will grow you some plants.

Yea I agree also the first plan may be better....I checked the specs with the LED light and it said the light is perfect for a 24"x24" space.
