First time grower, need advice

It’s a closet.

I wasn’t complaining about seed cost. I don’t think you understood what I was saying.
The plants that I am currently growing are bag seeds, I started 2 plants then another 2 a few weeks later, than 2 more. That’s why they are in all different stages. I’ve never grown before, This is a trial and error grow, so I can learn. I’ve been researching and purchasing equipment as I go. I realized now I shouldn’t have started so many plants but here we are.
I think what @JoeBlow5823 is trying to say is why invest time and money in bag seed.

you will need to separate the plants at some point.

got ya. I know I will need to separate them. I’m working on it.

should I put the two flowering in the window for natural light and leave the others under the grow light while I’m away?

This isn’t really something I have experience with. I’m not sure if the window will provide enough light.

I'd run out and buy a timer and just start flowering the other two. Or buy a timer and put the vegging plants in the window if you don't want to do that. Putting flowering plants on a window sill is more likely to cause them to throw nanners or reveg then anything else.

Im just saying even when your experimenting its worth using good seeds. You learn more and things typically work out better. Gives you so much more potential. And your learning with the genetics you will be using when you really start working hard on it. For good results there are essentials like light, water, nutrient, atmosphere, and genetics. If any one of those is shitty then your potential is severely diminished. Bag seed is a big gamble.

And you didn’t even mention males yet. It’s going to be an up hill battle OP. You need to put a lot of time researching and learning

He is rocking a 75$ light. I dont know about you but ive paid more than that for a pack of seeds. He will soon find he needs more light though.
Yea I was kidding

my fist pack was 15 for $129. But I just included that in the cost of getting started. After reading about horror stories of growing bag seed for your first grow.

Yeah. Just not worth it. Sometimes it works out but why risk it.

Is it weird that I wish I had some bag seed to grow? Specifically from some straight schwag. I always heard rumors that stuff came from good genetics but was ruined by the way it's basically fermented in a giant pile and pressed into bricks. I wanna grow out some brick weed seeds and see what I find! Unfortunately I don't think I could find brick weed if I tried these days

It would likely be ok quality. Nothing amazing but good enough. Lot of good weed has the occasional seed as well.

Ya, but with good weed I know what that seed will probably grow. With brick seeds it's a crap shoot! What if there's some dope Central American landrace strain hiding in there?? :bigjoint:

There is nothing wrong with bag seed to learn with.Feminized seed is more likely to turn on you.Mistakes are made either way, might as well learn the hard way.
