First time Grower - Severly wilted plants, first day in sun

First time poster and first time grower here.

Yesterday I got a hand of 4 clones:

2 Tahoe OG
1 Roadskill Skunk
1 Hawaiian OG

After I got back from the hydroponics store yesterday, I transfered them from the cups and rockwool to farm farms soil. I was informed by the guy at the shop NOT to water them for the first 3 days. I planted them right at sundown, and at that time one of the plants (roadkill) severly wilted in just moments in the sun. I took it out of the sun and it came back about an hour later and looked fine.

Well, I just came back from work today and three of the four plants are severly wilted. Today was a hot california day 85 degrees. I am thinking that the plants are just overwhelmed with sun, being the first time in the sun. The clones were started indoors. Perhaps the plants was too young to be put outside, but I don't have any flouresent lights to put them under.

Hello,

Well i dont know why the guy told you to not water for 3 day since its never the same from one person to another.

Water it every time the Rock wool or soil is dry. You should put the seedling at a spot with more shadow to avoid direct sunlight during the first 1-2 week to give it a chance if it is really hot outside.

I would suggest you to buy a T5 fixture or couple 26w (6500K) cfl if you want to veg them inside

Have a good day!

Thanks for all your help. I put them in a shaded area, gave them a little water and they bounced back to life in a few hours.

I'm in Southern California. Hawaiian OG is hard to come by, but I guess I just got lucky.
