Hey All

This is going to be my first time growing and im really excited. I live in LA and the weather cant be any more perfect to transplant my clones that i picked up from the local Collective from their cup to the pot.

Me and my BUDdy will attempt to grow B-13 (Bubba X G-13), Triple OG, and OC OG. We are using a mixture of Fox Farms Happy Frog and Fox Farms Ocean Forest. We filled the 10-gallon pots half-way. Is it too much nutes for the clones if we fill the pot all the way? What nutes do you guys suggest? I'm new at this so better believe im going to have a ton of questions. lol

Please if you have any knowledge to drop PLEASE feel free to post.

Happy Smokes. :bigjoint:

use fox farm nutes...use their chart with it turned down about half and work your way up...i would suggest using only bottled water and just check your ph....give them good sun and you should be good...oh and get some neem oil...

ocean forest is has enough nutrients for the first month. even though you cut it with happy frog, you probably shouldnt give it any feedings for like 3 weeks.

Use a mix of Fox Farms Ocean Forest and Fox Farms light warrior. Mix the two soils 50/50 and plant your clones in 20oz Dixie cups using this mix. The Light Warrior keeps the Ocean Forest from being to hot for the clones. Be sure to put holes on the bottom the cups for water drainage. After 2 weeks growing trans plant into larger pots using just Fox Farms Ocean Forest at 100%. Do this and you will have great success.
Good Luck-

Yo Medic420 the "kids" are taking off! They really seem to be thriving out there in the sun all day. I am scared to leave them outside at night, so I have been bringing them in at night and put them to bed! I've been giving them nothing but bottled water. I give them 200mL water each day. I do add some PH downer to bring the PH level down to approximately 5.5-6.5. I'm just not sure when I should hit them with the nutes or increase the amount of water?. I dont want to overwater and get some type of fungi or root rott. I had an encounter with some of those nasty gnats. Which I'm pretty sure thats why noris559 mentioned the neem oil in order to control those little buggers. I actually had this problem one year. I sliced them up with up with some diatomacious earth. If I'm not mistaken doesn't the neem oil prevent or act as a gnat repellent? More or less is there nutrient schedule I should follow? 7 months seems like a pretty long time to be hitting them with these different nutes. I heard that advanced nutes were good but to tell you the truth everybody seems to be decievingly deceptive with their marketing and advertising techniques. There are so many different nutes out there to choose from and everyone claims their product to be the best! Has anyone heard of Hesi Supervit? It's supposed to provide the plant with vitamins and amino acids and help with the buds overall taste? I saw them use it in a Dutch indoor grow video on youtube a long time ago??? Can I use these type of indoor hydroponic products for my outdoor grow. So you can see why me medic are so confused!!! . I am so confused!!! So if anyone can help me and my friend medic420 out with some advice or suggestion on our first outdoor grow it will be greatly appreciated!

I didn't want to give them an overdose of nutrients so I thought that i should fill up the pots half way. Which ended up being a mistake because the walls of the pots acted as heat conductors!!! So I figured that it would be best to just fill the soil up to the rim!!! Still don't know if this was a bad idea???

Stoney! They're lookin pretty nice man! good job. I've checked the other forums and mostly everyone said to use the FOX FARMS nutes. Its simple to use and the nutes do a good job. Another 2 weeks till we start feeding them the nutes!

Hey all

Here's some week 3 pics. We started feeding them nutes and they started flying. Let me kno what you guys think. Should we start putting molasses in? i heard that its good for the plants. anyone kno?

Thx in advanced.

Don't get too overzealous with the nutrients. They'll let you know when they're ready for more. It's also a lot easier to recover from under-nuting than over-nuting. Make sure you're only feeding every other watering as well.

Also, by week 3 they should have a pretty well established root system. I could be wrong but looking at your pics it seems like you're watering just at the base of the stem. By now you should be evenly soaking the entire pot. Lower your frequency, and increase your quantity. Doing so will encourage a large, healthy root system. Which is going to directly affect your overall growth. Letting them dry out a bit ( i stress "a bit" don't want to deprive them! ) will force the roots to seek out the water in the bottom and sides of the pot.

Hey thanks for the advice. Thats why i like this site so much, this is our first grow and everyone is willing to help.

We plan on using FF Grow Big and FF Big Bloom. We've been been watering around the base with about 300-400 ml every 2 days. I see what you're saying about the root system. we'll be giving the soil a good soak from now on. so about once a week for watering? How much nutes do i use when i soil. I wouldnt want to give it too much nutes.

As you can see I'll be having a ton of questions and i appreciate all the advice.
