Well its been about 6 days since i last updated and things are going fairly well! Last night i pretty much weeded out all the remaining males.. Out of the 24 plants of the same age i got 11 females so far and theres two still unidentified... The next batch of about 15 is still too young to tell. I Spent about 2 hours last night pinching and lst ing most of the 11 fems and it looks prety cool. I still have the 2 in mid flower and there ooking amazing! Small but the buds are looking ferocious! Ill have new pics up tonight or tomorrow morning. Also one of the fems was stretched to about 2x the size of the rest so i cut it off at the 4th node and made 2 clones outta the piece i chopped! Wish me luck on the clones!:bigjoint:

Oh yeah, it had been my intention to follow the four plants i gave names but so far 3 of those were among the males so i had to scratch that plan.:bigjoint:

thats alot of plants for cfls! im having probs keeping 5 indicas under 20 bulbs:)

Lol tell me about it, and most of mine are sativa dominant by the looks..luckily the longest veg time b4 flowering is 2 weeks so im hoping to keep em real small. The next batch of 15 is 12/12 from seed to keep em even smaller. When i get pics up take a look at the 2 oldest ones there cool, really are just buds on a stick! no branching at all!! Theres no doubt ill need more cfls tho!! I am sticking with the plan for this grow and using only cfl but next time i might throw in an hps.. My long term goal is to use a 4x5 closet to grow semi-commercially. At least sell enuf to pay my power bill  This is just a refresher course to get me into the swing of growing!! But hey if i get some decent results maybee ill stick with the micro gro

:bigjoint:Heres a little pic update. The closeups suck but u should be able to see the progress nonetheless.

Ok Pic 1 and 2 are of my indica dominant budsickle. Its less than 11 inches.

Pic 3 and 4 are more of a sativa it seems

Pic 5 and 6 are a plant im doing lst on

7 is a plant i topped

8 is just a normal plant, no training.

9 and 10 are the light and rooom

This is pretty much a refresher course and im seeing which training methods i will like to use in the future. So far some simple lst looks like my best option. :bigjoint:

you gotta turn the macro on , on your camera. then don't use zoom for close ups and go closer with the camera.

Yeah im using the super ghetto camera phone right now. I havent picked up a new cord for the real cam.

Ok thats what i thought. I just started messing around with Lst and it is crazy how well the plants respond. It almost seems like they grow a litle faster. :bigjoint:

And i havent seen an update in a while, hows everything doing over there

Have you ever heard of "Knuckling"?? Someone showed me this weekend. It's like squishing lower bud nodes to bruise them and cause the plant to respond stronger to that area repairing, but apearently it acelerates growth. I believe the idea in theory, wether or not i Try it depends on others feed back.

Ive actually been doing something quite similar the last few days, u know about "pinching" where u squish the stakl almost flat and bent it over, like lST without the strings. Well ive been doing that after about the 2nd node, then again at the node right before the top. Also been doing it to the lowermost branches. Its really cool, the plants look all crazy but where the damage was knots up within like a day and everything close to it goes crazy with growth! Really helping to fill out my plants. havent really squished the bud nodes themselves but it seems like they both stem from the same concept.:bigjoint:

Here's something to try...Lowes has light sockets that go into regular outlets and its pretty easy to mount a power strip and throw 4 sockets across it and there is 4 more lights...Also you have a surge protector for fire issues already on the power strip.

Yeah ive seen those before and i almost picked them up but i had already made mu custom rig with all my lights, and i have all my lights grounded so im not too worried about shock or fire. Depending on how big they get i may add a strip or two for side lighting but as for now im contentbongsmilieThanks for the feedback BTW

SO heres my first full attempt at taking clones.

I used the peat pellets and a little window greenhouse.

Cut the branches off and left them in a glass of water for a day to get hydrated.

Prepared the peat pellets a day in advance so they would be welll hydrated and made a nailhole in each.

Recut the stems at 45 degree angles dipped em in rooting hormone then placed them in the peat pellets and worked the peat into place around the stem.

I have been taking the dome off about 3x a day to give em some air. So far so good. ts only day 3 tho:bigjoint:
