First time growing

Can i germ 3 plants with a 400 Watt MH? If not then how many watts and what type of light bulbs?

lol ya you can but i find germ under cfl or t5 lights so much better for 1 save money. germ under cfl then around 2 weeks old just until u get the second node stick it under the mh for ur 24/7 veg or 18/6 veg time but anyways i dont have a mh but did so much reaserch before i did my grows that i could build you the perfect grow room in any sercmstance

You said Germinate.. that is a specific term.. you only need one 28 watt 6500k CFL to germinate 3 seeds effectively.

Save the MH for 2-3 weeks in..

Just run your lighting and equipment for 48 hours to see how hot it gets. You can also practice with lettuce seeds. Their super cheap and sprout quickly. No worries about excess lumens. Can't kill seeds with to much lighting. I personally use a 200w CFL. Now to avoid stretching stems keep them under lighting before they sprout. Yes it wastes electricity but the light keeps them warm and keeps them short and thick.
