Hi guys,

Been lurking around, reading all of the good info on here, and finally have my own questions.

Long time smoker (20+ years), have grown outdoor here and there, nothing major. Live in California, have a medical card, and insist on smoking the best! I'm only into flowers, not into concentrates.

What I'm basically looking to do is to stop spending $50+/eighth at the clubs and grow my own. I have a huge basement I can build a room in, and funding the equipment isn't a concern either (inherited some cash, willing to spend it). It's my own home, not rented. Currently smoking something like an ounce every 2 weeks...so, growing my own couple of ounces a month sounds good...if I can do it legally.

Given that I live in California and want to adhere strictly to the law, and given that I'm not looking to profit off of this at ALL (meaning, whatever I don't smoke I'll throw out), and given I like the BEST of the BEST and that space for a grow room and cost of equipment isn't an issue, what would you guys do? One room? What size? Two rooms? Yield etc doesn't matter to me, but pure raw horsepower does - I like strong shit!

So I guess I'm wondering what you guys think about what I should setup, and what I should grow. I don't mind paying top dollar for seeds either, but man I see a lot of complaints about bunk seeds etc, so I'm new on that front too.

THANKS!

If your willing to spend the money, I would build two rooms. 1 room for veg and mother plants, and then a flower room. This way you'll have new plants to go in the flower room the day you harvest. If you use a 1000w hps you can harvest 1 pound pretty easily every 9-12 weeks.
Las for strains there are so many options. But if it were my decision I would buy from TGA subcool seeds. His genetics are well known and very stable. Any of his strains will be top shelf. A few good ones though are Jack the Ripper, querkle, agent orange, jillybean, vortex, the flav, chernybol.

Holy crap a pound every 9-12 weeks, that's way more than I need. I guess what I'm looking at is like 3 plants veg, 3 plants flower, in what, a 3x3?

Since you are going to trash product you don't need I would grow as much as I could legally grow. Being that your a beginner grower most likely you will grow stuff not strong enough to your standards, not trying to be rude just honest.

Back to to my first point, the more you grow the better the chance you not only have a running a bean that you really like but you will gain more experience along the way. Good luck and happy growing

Spend the money on great genetics, and Good soil and make sure you give your plants lots of love and care. You get what you give!
