also wondering if anyone knows what causes these little holes in leaves like in picture 5. only a couple leaves in the scrog have very minor holes like this with a few burnt tips i believe from nutes being to concentrated as i was toping of with nute water for the first 2 weeks.. just started topping with plain phd water.. still doing great tho and new growth is looking good! was only using 1/2 str nutes so didnt cause any harm in growth..

Possibly clumsy fingers? Been there and done that. They look torn and not eroded or chewed.

yea could possibly be from training them.. this one is a hole not torn.. but yea i bet ur right wasnt too worried as plants look very healthy. ive grown the iced grapefruit before which is mainly sativa but my laughing buddha sativa seems like leaves are a little glossy..? is this normal for some strains?

well accually i keep light at that distance.. first run with hps temps stay around 75 at that distance however i can place hand right under hps just fine but i thought they were having heat stress.. should i lower light? its a little over 2ft away atm was planning on lowering once buds fill in a little more.. reason i also thought this was a good distance is because there isnt a terrible stretch in them.. what do you think?

well i generally keep my light as close as possible to the plants WITHOUT causing heat stress for me thats about 10 inches with my 600 watt hps. Somewhere on rollitup here or possibly another forum they had a chart describing lumen output and at what distance.. and for every foot away it drops drastically. You may already know this but just put your hand on top of your canopy and if its comfortable for your hand it'll be fine for your plants. If you are a little worried about it maybe just drop it a couple inches each day and see how they do.

Oh and those spots/holes I get them to but they usually start off as part of the leaf going brown and then turning into holes as the plant matter dies. On one of the plant problems threads it says brown spots means there is to much mg in the soil and to foliar spray with a manganese... and of my 3 part solution the only part that has manganese in it is my floramicro so ive been spraying with that.. havent seen a difference yet

thanks i will def start lowering lights i wondered i was going to once buds started filling in more.. but like i said since there wasnt much stretch for the light i figured they were getting enough.. but thanks and about the leaf problem i dont know if it wld be mg or not since there arnt any brown spots on the leaves just a few holes as the one shown mayb like 2 holes.. i am using the fox farm hydro line according to the chart at 1/2 str, just switched to full str a week after pistals showed.. however for the first 2 weeks of 12/12 i was topping off with nute water everytime at 1/2 str . i would just mix a 5 gallon bucket acording to chart and use that to top of resevoir. i didnt take into account that the plants uptake nutes at diff times and expecially with 3 strains in 1 table all the roots are fed from same resevoir.. i fixed all that tho and have been topping with plain phd water with a res change every 10 days or so.. i have a ppm meter in the mail as i never used one with soil and had great results..

what kind of temps are you pulling 10" away? my room stays at 75 where the lights are.. do you think my temps will go up alot? i using a 440cfm fan

deleted pics due to paranoia lol but ill prolly post more later lol

lowered lights about 6" will see how they respond tomarrow and continue until im about 10" away if i dont see any heat stress

Lookin pretty good...... Just a few observations. Dark red stems..... With the strains I have (still with lemon and Psycho berry) dark red stems are a sign of heavy stress. If you don't already know why, track back and try to figure out where you have stressed them. Your leafage is suggesting to to me that either your babies are ready to go to sleep or they are not happy. Your fan leaves should be pointing straight up (almost vertical) chasing the light.

thanks for the input! only 1 strain has red stems which cld be from stress possibly from bending them and this picture was before their first flood they tend to droop a little after dark cycle but perk up after flood..

wondering if the red stem is a trait of the laughing buddha? its a heavy sativa thats look like it might have a slight purple color when harvested..

edit: after looking at some other laughing buddha grows im pretty sure the red/purple stem on the leaves are a trait of this strain.. other had the same color stems.. c99 and iced grapefruit in this scrog have green stems.. thanks for the reply

IMG_1715.jpgIMG_1723.jpgTemps are usually 25-28 with lights on and 21-23 lights off (i have 2 4inch fresh air intakes right beside a window and the temps are cool right now) the first pic shows that I'm actually within 8 inches in some spots and second pic shows temp and humidity and it was taken at 1:18 am which is 5 hours after lights on

thanks i lowered lights again.. im 13" above now temps are 75 right below my screen.. where to u put thermometer? mine reads way hotter than it really is placed under the light.. i usually put it right under screen i figure it cant be too far off its only a couple inches diff..

Mine is on the left of the canopy and at the height of the canopy. I have a 10 inch fan on the opposite side blowing air at canopy height towards the thermometer. right above the thermometer is the lamp shade port which i use to exhaust my box. Underneath the the 10 inch fan on that right side i have 2 4 inch fresh air intakes with one cfm fan bringing in fresh air right below the 10 inch fan so it blows cool air at the canopy and moves the heat.IMG_1783.jpg

look good couple questions for ya.. wheres your carbon filter are you pushing or pulling? also have you had any problems with smell? if you size ur intakes right then the negative pressure from ur exhaust will suck the air into the grow room.. useing a fan to push air into room from exhaust can create tiny pin hole leaks where air can escape.. just my 2 cents..

my carbon scrubber is on the exhaust and works amazing i would HIGHLY recommend it (just built mine 2-3 weeks ago) and not one bit of smell, as soon as i open any of the doors like on the veg side or flower i smell it instantly (my whole house and even the apartment hallway used to smell but wasnt a problem because everyone on my floor smokes weed but still very sketchy) and i have a 333 cfm inline fan that sucks all air out and then through the carbon scrubber on the roof (i'll take a couple pics tonight but i'm on my way out atm) and I have just enough negative pressure to suck the poly in nicely

Oh and i'm guessing you are saying i dont need the 4 inch fan sucking air from the intake but when i have it there i drop the temps another 2 c i actually had 2 fans there but i grabbed one for the minicab

i'll do a pic showing the whole box veg area and flower area and show how the ventilation is set up. i actually had the inline fan only exhausting the light at one point but the temps were to high like that

Looking very nice, amazing how similar in size to mine almost exactly the same it looks to me!!!!!! mine are at 24 days, so lets keep an eye on eachothers for harvest comparison, not size so much as timing!!!!!BUT LOOKIN AWESOME!!!!!
