subscribed.. ive grown alot of boomers back in the day and spent years on shroomery.com..... let me know if you need any help
Sup bro, good to have ya around. What is your favorite strain?
You can release the pressure by flaming a needle and sucking up the extra air in your spore water jar, since its been PC'd its sterile. Then just inject the needle in your corn jars it will suck the air out..

The corn should be good as long as theres not whitish clear mush(yeast) at the bottom of the jars, excuse the term, but it looks like someone busted a nut in your corn jar. that should be the only reason your corn would be bad..
I will go ahead and try this.
Ill eat a small pin, half grown shroom, full grown, wet or dry. as long as your not eating a posoinous mushroom you can eat it at any time. Its when UNEDUCATED people go out in the field and pick a bunch of mushrooms they "think" are magic and they grab the wrong ones. If it wasnt for this there would be a chance that Psilocyn and Phsilocybin could be legal, research has shown that both help phycological and depression problems. and Ill be #1 to tell you "fuck a asprin" a cap or two has always gotten rid of any migrane ive had.

Ive always gone by this, "if it grows it goes" Marijuana is illegal but one of the most benificial plants on earth. and P.cubensis is also illegal, yet one of the most medically benificial fungi's. So Fuck You Government! lol
Good point thanks man! Inoculation time! Do you shake jars after inoculating? Or just squirt in the center and call it good?

Yo, i inoculated. I gave roughly 1 ml to each jar. Flame and alcohol sterilized before every pierce. Wiped whole room and sprayed with Oust 3 times. Sprayed all tools and jars with oust as well.

I didnt have enough time to get needle to touch substrate. Hopefully this is ok. I also gave each jar a mild shake...ok? Should i shake thoroughly? The first one was a dry run and it got around 2ml. There is still pressure in every jar, is this ok? I had a little left over residue in the spore bag, so i took a little more water, sterilized it again and sprayed back into bag. I then sucked this up and sprayed remainder into water jar for a liquid inoc...i wasnt as sterile with this as with other jars but it might work. How am i doing?

Oh i did the puerto rican angels by the way. How much time should i expect to see mycellium?

New list of materials for casing inside fruiting chamber?

Temps in inoculation area are 68 deg. Should I add a heat pad to raise to 75-80 deg? Will this speed up inoculation process?

I wouldnt do a heat pad. use a couple blankets or towels to increase the heat. remember it's a few degrees warmer in your jars than ambient too.

You'll see mycellium in about 3-5 days-ish if all goes well. (That's why you spray it on the glass of the jar inside, so you notice it growing much easier)

Listen to the quote below, wrapping your jars in blankets will do just fine. Leave em in the dark for the week or so then check out what youve got. 68 is pretty low, but the blankets and the acutal mycelium growth will create enough heat.

Glad to hear i am doing alright. Here is a casing method i thought sounded good, what do you guys think?

I have a few fish tanks laying around here. One is a 55 gallon and the other a 60 gallon- one acrylic and one glass. Will i need to drill holes for fruit chamber? Some recommend an air pump i got plenty of those laying around too.

Would it be ok to go with a vermiculite, peat moss, or coco coir mix? Gettin cow shit is a little harder to do, its also not sterile right? Is there process you have to do to sterilize cow shit? -is it that much better?? if it is, ill spend the effort to get some. i guess corn and shit do go together.

post the pm i just sent u about this and ill fill in the blanks.

You can use peat moss, coco coir, and other subs, but mushrooms grow naturally out of cow shit and straw. Your going to have to sterilize ANY and all substrates one way or another.

Once your jars are 100% colonized you can then open them without it contaminating. So that makes it a perfect time to transfer to its final substrate.

Take your rockhard cowpoo, and run it through a blender, not powder fine but about the density of your MJ soil. Then cut your straw into 2-5in pieces, you can blend it too.
Your going to want to mix before you sterilize so, mix 2-2-1**Poo-Straw-Verm

alot of people pasturize thier final substrate, but i dont like to do all that work/waiting for it to contaminate in one of the final stages so i pressure cook my Poo/Verm/Straw mix in Oven bags(turkey bags)-you can buy them at walmart for cheap, get the small ones, double them up and put your mixed, FIELD CAPACITY substrate in.

Remember when you hydrate your final substrate, squeeze by the handfull until only a few drops of water fall, then put that handful in the oven bag, repeat until your full.
A few tips on the oven bags.
Make sure that the access plastic at the top of the bag can flap around, when you hit the Pressure cooker release you dont want the plastic bag clogging it.
Also make sure that the oven bag doesnt sit in the water, the general heat wont burn the bag but the boiling water will.

You can always do your final substrate in jars too, but you gonna need 3-4 jars of final substrate per jar of colonized corn, thats alot of time at the pc.

You can pasturize by putting your mix in a large cooler and dumping several pots of boiling water on it, let it sit overnight, drain your cooler, bring it in the work area, squeeze to field capacity, then add to tubs for spawning.

When you spawn youll take your fully colonized jars and smack them around a little to break up the corn/mycilium(Spawn) put an inch layer of your final substrate mix then layer your jar of spawn and cover it with another inch of final sub mix.

Walmart sells $1 clear sterilite tubs with lids, like 5 liter i think, those work great, you can stack 10 tubs in a black trash bag in your closet and nobody would ever think anything of it. you can also use Tin Baking pans.

Take into consideration your fruiting chamber tub and your spawn tubs at the same time, it sux to end up with 8 colonized spawn tubs and a fruiting chamber that only holds 5. Remember though, your not going to be stacking spawn tubs in your fruiting tub, its side by side space your needing.

Your large aquariums should work nicely as fruiting chambers, just add a few airstones under the perlite to keep the moisture in the bottom from getting stale and possible causing contams.

I think the above post covers just about everything, its your grow and your choice on the final substrate, but Im a firm beliver in poo/straw/verm.. Do a tub of each to see which works best for you, experiementing is the key to finding your blue-bruising goldmine.

It would be easier for me to just go out and buy some store bought manure. I think i have seen steer manure, horse manure and chicken manure...there may be a few more. will this suffice? ill go take a few handfuls of hay from a pumpkin patch. i already got an 8qt bag of vermiculite.

This was my first attempt at growing cubensis. I split a stem from a bag of mushrooms, took a small sample and shoved it inside a piece of cardboard. I was told this is not mycellium, was it?

Yeah store bought poo will also insure that you dont get any thats green or not decomposed. just let it sit in the sun for a day or so and then rehydrate it yourself when you mix your verm and straw in.

That looks like cobweb, its not uncommon for cardboard cultures to grow any type of mold other than what you want it to grow. That was the past, your doing it right this time around, so smoke a bowl and chillax, everything sounds like you put your best effort into it, that ensures that your gonna make it happen one way or the other...

Ok i went out and collected some dry patties from field. This is legit cow dung. I got about 12gallons. Is there something I can start doing to get it ready?
