first timer aeroponic setup hash berry

ok so i have started my first grow. i have hashberry seeds germinateing right now while i am trying to finish up my grow room.

here are pictures of me light proofing my resevoir. It was clear then i sprayed black primer over it then like black trash bag material i found in my garage then mylar on top

ok so for inside my resevoir i have a rainforest setup wiht a giant airstone and a fogger. Here is pics

more pics and i set it up quick in my sink i had just turned it on when i took the pics. soon a lot of the room was foggy. And here are pics of the giant airstone.

the fog is a great idea! although have you tried it inside your reservior? if you did does the fog kinda overflow out? That was my question that i asked myself when i was thinking of switching to a fogger for my dwc.

Few questions and comments.Did you get an extra fogger as nutes tend to clog the heads on these and have to be replaced? Second thing why did you use that floral foam as its not so good for growing rockwool would have been the way to go and cheap.Do you have hydrotn in the cups to give the plant roots something to climb through and hang on to so the plants dont tip over and last question is when you painted you painted the outside of the tub only and not the inside right?

i used floral foam because i forgot to order rockwool when i bought all my nutes adn lights so i went up to the flower shop around the corner and gor 4 bricks of floral foam for a doller each. (this is because they didnt actually sell it but when i asked the buy he was like yeah sure ill give you each for a doller) Yes i only paintted the outside of the resevoir adn also while i was reading the back of the box i decided it would be better to have two heads so i could have a backup when the first ones filter gets worn out so i got a head out af another box and put it in mine. The floral foam is in net cups so the roots have something to go through and i am only useing 2'' ones becausei can at max grow the plant to 18''. Plus the foam i think this is enough support but if not i can stake the plants or something.

anyways i have to get a little more money adn i am buying rockwool,hydroton, a squirle cage fan, and a rresevoir heater.

I am a fan of the foggers too, I use them in all my hydro units now. I have seen a difference in growth too. Have flowered any to completeion yet though with the fogger, I have some that are at about 4 weeks and they are going strong. FF is right get some replacement discs, the foggers eventually clog. I usually throw the foggers in clean water every couple of days and run them for about an hour, not sure if this helps keep them clean but so far so good. I like ths fact that their are no hoses to clean...it's more convienient...sorry I can't spell. I got some hashberry on deck too, I will be watching, good luck with the grow.

yo i am not useinga humidity dome adn as you can see from the pics thahow the seeds are. I am not sure if this is the best way to sprout them. I dont have an aquarium heater nor a car adn the pet store is far so any suggestions? Also the floral foam isnt staying saturated. It has little dry patches adn stuff. nor is my amwoir very warm. Possibly the worst germinateing conditions. I am picking up a heating pad from my dads house tonight while i am getting my tent for an overnight with a friend tommarrow. i think i will just place the heating pad on high adn lay it ontop inbetween all the seeds. Please give me your suggestions.

hehe, I am no expert, nor am I really a MR. Ganja I post too much...lol. When you say floral foam do tou mean that green stuff they use to arrange flowers in?

yeah its good for soil grows mostly because it is biodegradeable and has a neutral ph unlike rockwool but yeah thats it

well i dont think u will need a res heater if u plan on running that fogger 24/7.. it will boil the water.. but im sure ur going to put it on a timer right!

i really like the design of your system!
