i try to take everything to 10 - 11 weeks. :bigjoint:bongsmiliebongsmilie

i like how they say things like "24 hours of dark before harvest packs on the trichs". how is that, and trichs can't ripen overnight can they? ;-)bongsmilie
sure they can, also if you punch a nail through the stem your weed will turn bright pink and triple resin production.
Also if you get some lightning bugs and wrap them in foil and put them in your grow room you'll yield ten pounds easy.
Also if you feed your plants fuel they'll taste delicious (where do you think NYC diesel came from?).

Im going to listen to you guys im a noob, but i am trying to say that everytime I post a pic of my baby everyone says she looks over 4 weeks in and at the time she was just turning to her third. She seems to be maturing fast is all, but if its 4 its 4 im in no rush i'll still make 420! :hump:

So I am new to the harvesting game and was wondering how much longer you guys think I got. Shes been flowering about 4 weeks now and I was thinking I got about 12 more days, what do you guys think? She has got maybe 10 percent brown hairs on her i'd say...so my guess is 2 weeks but im a noob. And I have a microscope and I know what to look for :)

First off if you purchased your seeds you already have to know a general rough time period for flowering/maturing. Knowing that and as you said you do have a microscope and know how to use it you should be able to look at the trichomes and going by the trichomes and the trichomes alone, and not the color of the hairs or timeframes anyone else gives, be able to tell when the right time to harvest is according to your personal preference in a high, as in harvesting your plants when the trichomes are milky white or 50% milky white and 50% amber or when they are all amber.

So what it all comes down to is just chill and let the natural progression/maturing of your plants occur and do not seek the advice of people who are not on site and who are unable to actually look through your microscope and examine your plant’s trichomes or who will tell you to harvest according to their personal preference of trichome color for when to take your plants or who give less than wonderful advice and say things like go by the hair color, take them when your hairs are 50% brown or I harvested at ‘X’ number of days and it was great so do the same as me, or whatever.

If you did not purchase your beans and therefore do not know a general flowering/maturing timeframe you still can look at your plants and somewhat accurately judge if they are sativa, a sativa/indica cross or indica and by that know a rough timeframe and then combined with your microscope that you know how to use the rest is simply viewing your plant’s trichomes and then harvesting when the time is best according to your personal preference and not that of others.

You want to look at the trichoms. Depending on how you like your high is all in the trichoms. Mostly cloudy with some amber is the way I like it. Most people like all amber trichoms. You definately do not want to harvest with most the trichoms being clear, that would not be good.

Alright so here she is, almost cut her down today but decided to wait. Looking at the trichomes I'd say she is 50% milky 10 % amber and 40% clear. Im going to wait 4 more days for them to milk a bit more, sound about right? Here are the pics below
