First Timer With Pics

These beauties came from the "indoor mix" from Bc Bud Depot and started these from seeds. They are 6 weeks old (they first popped out of the soil 6 weeks ago) and they are about 15" tall. I have experience in raising clones, which I felt were more bushy from the beginning. These have just started making their side branches and I was wondering if that was normal for a seedling. They're really tall just not very bushy! I think I'm gonna top them in a couple of weeks. Any thoughts? Thanks!

How is your lighting?

I have a MacGuyver-esque setup- 2 18" Flourescent gro tubes, which I really think works well, but they don't give off any heat. To fix that I added a 75 watt phillips halogen light. For the past two weeks they really took off, at about an inch per day, and last night the tallest one grew about 2" overnight. The pic above is 2 days old, each plant is about 2" taller.

you're going to need a lot more light for flowering if you want to get good buds.
