Yeah, add another bin. You have enough light to grow 1-2 nice little plants(put them in separate pots) about 1.5ft each. Start flowering them at around 7 inches tall(they'll double in height, depending on strain). You'll be able to pull maybe an ounce each if all goes well. Watch your temperatures. 85+ degrees is cause for concern, ideal temp is 70-80.

they will MORE that double in size, they might even triple

make sure you don't run out of space

or just add a third box on top :)

you should keep those CFLs about 3-4 inches from the plants
even closer when they grow a little bigger - 2-3 "

unfortunatly mate yes this is a bad idea, due to the fact that you arnt going to be able to tell the sex untill u flower, but u dont wont to be transplanting in floweing, cn stress the plant.also roots cant be tangled easily and if that happens you have a good chance of damaging the roots when trying to seperate them, best thing is to have them in ther own pots, hope this helps. and thanx for stopping by my journal.

So my plants seem to be doing good mostly, its really cold here so I think that it is stunting the growth a bit, but I wasn't sure if I should start them on 12/12 light or wait a bit longer. If so, how much longer? the two bigger ones are about 6in tall. also some of the leaves are turning brown and yellowish is this a problem? I know that the lights were touching the tops and that is why those are browned but what about the bottom leave of the other ones? And another thing is fertilizer, is there anything I could pick up at walmart or something that would work ok?

Baked, I just wanted to throw in my support and keep this thread going. I've never done any kind of growing of anything, but I'm very interested in taking an attempt at starting my own small grow. Your updates have given me a lot of insight as well as the responses from the people in this thread, hope it all goes well! Let us know!

Ive been able to keep the temps in the box between 70 and 80 F but there were a few days were it went below that because of the negatives we hit here. As for lights there are 4 42W CFLs and 2 24 watt Bioizer CFLs. Since the box is small I cant adjust all of the lights, I only have two that are adjustable so I keep those about 1 to 2 in away from the tallest.

I have been keeping the lights as close as possible but I realize that the temps when the lights are off were getting down into the 60s so i just need to go buy a small heater to keep the temps up. As for nutes i dont really know what to use, i live in a very small town so i dont have a lot of options to shop from but i need some suggestions on what to look for.

So i think I got a little impatient and started flowering early but anyways they have been in 12/12 lighting for about 10 days. The one in the middle is about 16 in now but im still kind of worried that its going to get too tall for my box. Ive have been trying my best to keep the temps up but the best I can do is keep it in the 70s. Also on all of the plants, leaves are dying and falling off and to me they are looking pretty skimpy now. I wish I had a better camera so I could show the top of the tallest one, Im pretty sure that none of the plants are male but I see that there are like egg shaped sacs appearing towards the top of the taller 3 plants but not at all on the bottom, Is this part of the flowering process or what?
I havnt added any nutes or anything because the soil said it would fertilize for up to 3 months. If there are any suggestions or questions I am always happy to give and recieve as much advise as I can.

So I am 100% sure that all but one of the plants are male im not sure yet on the other so that really sux. Ill prob just let them all grow out and try to make some brownies or sumthin. Ive heard both sides about smokin the buds on the male plant so once they are finished ill let you know my opinion on if I got stond or not. Other than that any other suggestions for what I can do would be awesome.
