Dears,

Im running flood and drain with peat-moss as a medium, currently im using flora trio and nothing else (Recharge when i transplant), with a good results, i was thinking to change for the flora Nova or any thing else maybe fox farm, what do you recommend ??? I usually feed at 650-800 PPM

PS: I dont change the water in the tanks, i just top them up, and flora trio doesn't really make the tanks stink, does the flora nova make them slimy and stink ?

i use both types, i use the the flora trio(veg) & nova bloom in RR,droton or mapito in an ebb/flow system.
never do res changes either, such a waste and just corporate hype anyways, no problems if you monitor temps, ph/tds faithfully.
and have a well aerated tank, I rarely go over 850 tds max if i can help it..
I've used nova at the flip or about 1/3 of the way, very thick stuff so mix it well.
know a fella that uses it(nova bloom only) exclusively from end to end in coir and gets stellar results.
i occasionally will add flora micro throughout if needed, I also add inoculate & silica.
assuming you're using black peat?

yes its like an ordinary potting soil that is dark in color and the pack says Peatmoss lol , thats what i can get as its will cost me allot if i want to ship dirt overseas, its working fine for me, just keeps the moist for a long time, thats why i set the timers to work for 5 min on Sunday and Monday, and let it dry throughout the week, at week 2 of flowering i use sea weed extract as it has some hormones, at week 6 of flowering i use some molasses top feed as using it in the rez will make an ugly smell and so many problems and slime, last 1 or 2 weeks of flowerings i just top up the rez and the ppm goes down to 400 and this can be considered as a flush.

I guess i will go with the flora nova, grow and bloom by it self, as the peat-mos has some humic acids that help make the macro nutes more available so no need for anything else.

stick with your trio and add some humic acids= flora nova
I wish i can as it has finished, and shipping cost to my location is high so i have to make the right choice, so why not invest in something better maybe.

The cost of flora nova bloom and grow with shipping is 90$ and the cost of the flora trio is almost the same. so what would you choose if you was me ?

go for GH maxigro and maxibloom. same stuff but dry nutes. why pay for water? i have been using maxibloom from start to finish but i'm gonna try them both for this grow. here in the states they are 15 dollars shipped for 1 kilo.

FloraNova bloom was great stuff, but I had a lot of sediment when I used it. The stuff is very "muddy" and gritty right out of the bottle. I didnt think it was good for the pumps considering how a F&D system works.

i use flora nova in a 20gal res for my drain to waste. stays pretty clean.
??? Nova clean? That is one of the dirtiest nutrient lines for hydro I ever ran... GOOD stuff to be sure, and works well in soil if you dial in right but, clean? NOT! To much scrubbing between runs!

Cleanest I ever ran was Hesi Hydro.....Real good stuff! Cheat the high cost, by dropping the ROOTS and SUPER VIT and substitute a good quality Kelp extract! After a good flush a simple 10 or 12% H2o2 sanitizing rinse and ready to go.

I have read allot about how you have to shake it well, and some people suggest using some stainless balls in the bottle to help shake it out, what do you recommend ? as Booshush said it was no issues for him, maybe you doing high PPM ?

yikes! that much to ship?

how about Hesi nutes? they are made in NL still, no?
Best hydro I ever ran?

Hesi
Botanicare KIND

I hear the Botani PRO is real nice too.

I quit hydro some years back.....To much work and no way to go on a vacation unless you spend the mighty dollars and automate the system...

Easy peasy trick for that,,,thick as hell NOVA line.....

Mix it with a gallon of RO (the whole gallon) Now you have two gallons. It is thinner and easier to shake into solution.
Simply use twice the amount you would normally!

for my bad luck i live in a part of the world where everything cost allot of money to ship, so for me the price of the product wont matter, what i care about the most is the quality and if it works by it self with no additives, even a cal mag bottle would cost me 100$ for my bad luck :(

I gotta add that we had a pump in the res that was set on it's side so that it circulated the solution on the bottom of the res's. This made sure no heavy's settled at the bottom of the res.
If your res is round. Set it so it flows from one edge, towards the center. Square? Diagonally....
