It's the sunshine state.

Lot's of $ is made by it being illegal, more than if it was legal.

The state would rather keep all the older folks on all the bullshit prescription meds.

The prisons in Fl are filled with people that have weed charges.

Prison is a big industry in Fl.

Would be great if things changed....................i just don't see it happening, especially now with all the bullshit the feds are pullin in medicinal states already.

hate to agree but I do! Too many old timers and old people FL will be one of the last states IMO.

But then again we could be wrong in that area to.......................i know quite a few older(seniors)folks that get down. Some choose the herb over bullshit pills.

Yes it's big $$ in Fl with all the pills and prescriptions of poison but there are other factors too.

How many prisons in the state of FL?

With all due respect My Bro lives in Fl and he knows a few Cops (he is a gun nut) so birds of feather...Right? Anywho they use white powder and very rarely Burn because of the time in their system and officer involved shootings ect... Anyways, I am not sure if you have a L.E.A.P chapter in your area but I would expect them to know who is pro and who against.
Like MPP.org would know as well. That would be a start of who to campaign for elections and make people aware. I am sure as more and more people feel the wrath, either for themselves or a family members of the patriot act and the stripping away of the 4th amendment that will get repealed too. Hopefully not the 4th but the Act!

More and more Seniors are looking for alternatives, as they too are on the net and read the benefits and testimonials from others in their shoes dealing with opiate side effects and interactions; as Cannabis has none.

If we get Ron Paul in office we might be able to get this place looking like America again instead of the USSA! By the Feds laxing the States wont run scared.

This was a bit over the top, I mean if one says so why do you have to get a second opinion? They will cut you open without it!

Two physicians have diagnosed the patient as having a 104 debilitating medical condition;

Jeff Clemens has proposed a bill before that died in subcommitte due to lack of action. He has again put the initiative out there and there is a grass roots push to have mmj put on the ballot for the general populace to vote on it in 2012 and if passed placed into effect by 2013. The bills are a bit similar and have some differences. Education will be the key to getting anything approved. Someone said the older generation having the ability to go online and see what is out there.
Pay it forward and hopefully with the outlook for change today it just may have a chance of passage.

i'm not holding my breathe but i am hopeful. the older folks are more hip then you might think. i know several that don't smoke or use MJ but are all for legalization as a way for this country to get back on financial track. they don't want to lose their checks.

That sums it up well. My screen name is derived from the Florida Division of Corporations, sunbiz.org. I spent 10 years down there as an incorporated distributor of construction materials. Florida is what they call a "right to work state". Basically that means the wage rates suck balls b/c they tolerate illegal Haitians working for 5 bucks an hour, and that screws it up for everyone else. We used to have an old saying on Ft. Myers beach during Spring break...."Come on vacation, leave on probation, return on violation". Florida still throws people in jail for such heinous crimes as driving without a license or feeding the homeless. Yes, feeding the homeless...in Orlando recently they arrested church members for serving food. The fact there is no state income tax is a joke, they make that up on sales tax. With this in mind, don't expect this bill to pass anytime soon. And even if it does, Florida will find a way to screw it up anyways.
