My three outdoor central Florida potted Sativa girls just started flowering. Just like you said they would. Now if I can catch the frigging animal that took off two of my lower branches ....and didn't even eat all he took!

I even have the pots well off the ground susppended in the viney overgrowth which makes me think its possibly a stoned raccoon.
could well be a stoned racoon or maybe a squirrel... haha. try getting something to put around them girls, like chicken wire or something. ive also heard of people useing hair or urine as a deterrent for wild animals, just dont piss on ur plants.

Any advice as far as when to start with the nuts for flowering? I planned on waiting about a week or so into flowering before giving them a flower boost.

ive already been giving my plants flowering nutes mixed with veg... i dont think it will hurt to wait a week tho. how are the leaves, any yellowing towards the bottom?

Only the untopped clone (4 weeks younger then others) is really flowering with no yellowing or insects, though they are practically bare low down low after the July over firtalizer incident and the pot head critter, hit me again last night! I think its a heavier animal like a raccoon in which case a fence "ainta gonna doit" I'm going to spray a mix of watery dog crap all around the area (not the plants), in an effort to thwart the snackers. I have to "Nip this in the Bud" so to speak. The remains of this incident will be mellowing me for a few days I guess...oh well. I would not mind if he/she took a leaf every other night but hes clumsy and breaks the branch down eats a bit and leaves the rest withering. If it happens again I'll leave the branch hanging for him to nibble on latter....

The two topped plants are just showing flowering signs, I topped them just 5 days ago so the bud location are still just getting going again. I think another week and these two will be flowering full tilt.

Good news is there is still enough veging going on on all three that there is new sprouts at the formally bare low low leaf nodes, each having several small leaf clusters.

well that sucks about the pot lovin creature you have screwing with ur plants. hmmm dog crap? might work but hehehe its gonna smell real nice. i would still try to put up a fence of some sort anyway, it can only help.

sounds like good news for the rest of them.. good luck.

other news.... i dug out that one small plant i had, it was a male. my 2 big plants are flowering like crazy. i have 6 more sprouted and 22 seeds hit the dirt yesterday. some of the strains i just planted: Blueberry, AK47, Spoetnik #1, Chem Dawg, OG kush and a bunch of other fire bagseeds that i had. some of these seeds are more than 2 years old so i dont expect all of them to sprout.

Panic Mode...I went out this evening to spray my dog dudu and water concocktion around the area to attempt to thwart the pot headed critter and found one of my topped plants had BOTH female and male (new just today) flowers, I immediatly cut off the male branches but fear I need to take the whole plant down now...

After a few minutes research on the net I went back out and moved the hermaphodite plant far away from other two and will kill it early AM oh well, one down two to go. I think I caught it eary enough. Glad I can check them regularly.

The deed is done, went out early AM and new balls had appeared, I killed it. I'll be changing cloths etc to help avoid any future polination,

Regarding your "Other News..." do you plan to do an out door grow into the Winter months? Here in East Central Florida we usually get 1-7 days of frost by March.

what exactly do you mean by change the cloths?

yea all those new plants will be outside only. im in miami, we barley even get a few days in the 60's in winter. i could grow through to next year if i wanted to.

I think the one in the last pic might be a male :)

Sweet pics fs. That big girl looks downright menacing now. I'd be scared of going out in the garden at night with her around :)

lots of new plants started...

a simple grow box i put together in a day with stuff i had lying around.

i had 22 seeds started outside but 10 of them got eaten by ants so i moved the rest inside. i was pissed because this was the last of some good genetics and i lost some of them. this is what im left with: 1 OG kush, 2 AK47, 2 chemdawg, 1 LemonxAK47, 6 bagseed.

the one and only backcross seed of lemonxak i had.

spider haze and the 2 smaller ones are blueberryxak...

more spider haze...

the beast...

heres the pistils on the big one, not to much action yet...

the big spider haze, flowering a bit more than my big sativa...

spider haze pistils...

im planning on just keeping 2 maybe 3 plants in the box to flower and the rest outside, depending on how many females i get. yea were in for a long ride with a super sativa strain like this, could be up to like 14 weeks flowering time. never grew a plant taller than me gonna be awesome to see that much bud.
