Flower Early Outdoor?

Hey there anyone. I got some advice from an old grower friend of mine. He said that he was able to get an early flower outdoor. His method is this. Start with your plants inside, on a 12/12 schedule for 3 weeks. Now apparently they will stay in flower if you put them outdoors. The only hitch is to not shock them too much (good temp, adjusted to sun) My friend said that the plants are more or less in their flower routine permanently after those 3 weeks. I do know, however, that you can flip a harvested plant back to veg, but perhaps their is some leniency on a plants habits. What he's saying is that the 16 hour days aren't enough to flip the plants back into vegging. The result for him was an earlier harvest by a couple months. Anyone heard of this? I'm sure if it works it would be very useful. Thanks to anyone who can help answer my question.

If you are vegging plants indoors under 18/6 you can stick them outside just about anytime it's warm enough and they will flower just fine. I veg indoors at 18/6 till my plants are about 2 feet tall. I put plants outside every 30 days from March til September and they always go straight to flower.

That is interesting. How long are the days outside? The way I figured this would work is if the plants are already into flower. It would make sense that the change in day length might shock them into flowering.

Sunrise to sunset is about 12 hours right now.. I've been doing this for awhile.. My first harvest will be mid April.. Last year I harvested my last plants about a week before Thanksgiving.. This method really works great for me.. I'm really a KISS grower. Maybe I should say LAZY !! I don't use any nutes that says made for Marijuana, I use only tap water, and I pretty much just feed them (Jacks 20 -10 -20) and let them do their thing. I try to keep a mother plant to start clones in December. By the end of February they are a couple of feet high. They would be much taller but I LST them and keep the pot size small. I have limited indoor space for veg so sometimes it's a hassel to keep them low. I upcan to 3 gallon pots just before putting them out doors. They start stretching as soon as I put them outside. I usually have 3 ready to harvest at a time. Yields about a pound. The hardest thing then is what to do with it all.. I don't sell it. I give it away to other card holding friends of mine. Thinking about making some of Rick Simson's hemp oil this year for a couple of people I know.

Oh, one thing special I do, I make alfalfa tea. I add it to my water and they love it.. Very cheap and simple to make..
