during begining of flowering (2nd week), would the plant branch out or just produce bud?

the plant needs about 8 weeks to flower (depending on the strain it may need more). The first 2 weeks there will be a lot of growth in stretching and branching out. After your first 2 weeks the growth will slow down and you'll notice buds forming. The plant will probably may stretch a little in the 3rd week, and by the 4th week all stretch will have stopped. After 4 weeks of flower the plants will be at it's final height. During weeks 5-8 the buds fatten up and develop.
