Ideal is a mix of all different bulbs say from 6000k to 2700 think of the sun for your answer it does not put out light in one single range!

Veg is when we mimic the summer or spring time with longer days with the Sun directly over head this gives the higher range closer to blue like 4000K+
That range works best for roots and branching. My clones thrive under only 5700k.
Flowering is when we mimic winter time with shorter days and with the sun lower in the horizon makes the color in the lower ranges closer to red or 2700k
That range promotes flowering.
But yes, use a combination of them. Just use the dominate color for veg is blue and flower is red with 25% be the opposing color.
the Sun puts out UV rays too I wont get into them :)
