hey guys,well i just wanted to post a thread to get advice for flowering for newbies. any advice would be great, for example,watering,nutes,lighting,harvest time..ect. thanks

yeah agreed with everybody on this thread LOL would take an entire book to explain. Because there already is entire books...half of the books in the flowering section ;D.
lighting is something we need to know.....with mh/hps/led/anything but cfl its easier with cfl you need to space your lights, get them really close unless you enjoy popcorn pieces. most people discontinue nutes last week, just water. Some people leave lights off last day or two, build resin. it varies but good luck to you

Also I suggest that u slowly introduce flowering nuts. like 3/4 of veg and then 1/4 of flower nuts and each feeding slowly increase flowering nuts by 1/4 till u are straight on flowering nuts. Atleast i find great success doing this 
Also when flowering make sure your lights are not to close to the plants for the first couple weeks because they grow overnight and u can have the plant touching your light and could burn her.

for harvest, do 72 hours dark. dropping temps below 70 is also good for the last couple weeks of growth for resin output. lower the temps, high the resin output but going to the 40s may slow down lateral growth some.

Quick breakdown of flowering:
*Start to feed with a more phosphorus oriented fertilizer. Learn your N-P-K. You want a higher middle number.
*Don't overfeed. Less is more with fertilizer. Don't water your plants if the soil is still wet from last time.
*Ventilation. Gotta find a way to ventilate while still keeping it dark at "night".
*You need 12 hours of uninterrupted darkness. Setting your light on a timer is a must.
*If you're using a lower wattage light (400 or less), consider training your plants to increase penetration. Google "lst" or "scrog." These methods will help you yield bigger, denser nugs, and less "popcorn" buds.
