I cut 12 clones about 2 weeks into flowering. I used clonex gel on 4, another gel on 4, and no gel on 4. (Aeroponics) all 12 started to get root buds at the same time But never actually got roots.( I think it was a humidity issue)I finally put them into some dirt in a self watering container. They all seem to be growing just fine but I did have to cut the bigger fan leaves off. They all have tiny buds on them, still, should I remove those? will my plants be more likely to return to the veg state and grow bigger if I remove them? All 12 survived and look healthy.

What are you planning for growing in because as of now they can’t be grown that way unless you want tiny plants?
I wouldn’t remove anymore anything or take of 24/7 for weeks
Strange you felt “you had to” remove larger leaves?

You can leave the tiny buds, won't hurt anything, they will start to put out one or three finger leaves as they start to re-veg. Just keep them under 16 or so hours of light, they should re-veg. It will take a couple weeks, or more, to get normal veg growth.

Yep just leave them alone. As long as you put them back to a veg light cycle, they'll eventually start putting out new veg growth. Re-vegging isn't some dark magic secret, almost all plants I've had to re-veg, be it from clone or post flowering, had no problem going back into veg mode.
