Flowering growth question and cloning question. Advice appreciated = )

Hi all... First grow and here's what I got going right now. 2.5 weeks into flowering and they are at the light... I thought I read that after a couple weeks, strain depending, the plants stop stretching and focus on bud growth... is that true? These are White Label White Widow. I'm happy with what I got so far (for first grow, haha) except all my clones died = ( is it too late to try to clone? I've got one beast in there that I want cloned so bad for a mother. All of the branches are forming buds, and I heard that there is a good chance that flowering clones will hermie if they are pushed back into veg state.

youre only 2 weeks in, get some lower branches and put em in 24 hour light, they will veg with no problems
