Flowering phase light requirements...

I have a light that allows the selection of spectrum. I've been told that the red and far red are very good for the flowering phase. Is it ok to just select the red and far red alone for this phase? Do I need any time in the other spectrums? I've also been told 12 on 12 off. Thoughts?

Turn it on full blast. Red and far red alone aren't going to cut it.
