Several grows deep, this is just a quick grow that I threw together to figure out which strains I want to start focusing on. There were a total of 6 strains, Two have already been harvested a little early due to space restraints and some other issues. Flowering under a 400w HPS Hortilux.

Strains:
El Diablo QC (1 plant)
Thai Super Skunk(1 plant)
Air Force One(1 plant)
Ginger Kid (didn't finish will continue next grow)
Jane Doe(3 plants)
Afghani Hindu Kush (4 plants)

I will post some other details later in the week. Let me know if you guys have any questions about these pics or anything else. :bigjoint:

You should be one happy Daddy, your girls are beautiful!

+Rep :leaf:
Thanks for the rep kush, hope you stay tuned. This grow isn't all that exciting but the next one will be. My partner and I have been vegging a plant (El Diablo QC) for.... I want to say 8 or 9 months. She is a beauty! The main stalk on this girl has a circumference of about 2 and a half inches or so. I'll post some pics of up of her later when I get a chance.

nice plants, they look healthy, how much bud do you expect? i have six plants and i still thinking how many 400hps lights should i use. how big are your plants? +rep nice set up.
Thanks GP. They are healthy now but it was hard getting them here. I had a bad bag of soil that had hot spots in it so my ph was around 4, causing all kinds of problems. Basically had to flush all of the plants with no nute water at a ph of around 10 or 11. After that they recovered beyond my expectations and are doing great now. As far as weight goes... I'm really not expecting a lot out of this grow. This grow was not intended to produce weight, more so to figure out which of these strains I want to keep. I would guess that I will get only 3 oz off of this grow. Next grow I'm expecting at least 3 times that. The plants that I have now range in size due to the different strains and technique of training them. If you are trying to figure out how many 400hps' to use you should just figure out how big of a footprint your plants are going to take up. A 400w has a footprint of about 3x3 and a 600w has a footprint of about 5x5. 600w are more efficient so if you haven't bought your lights yet I would go with a 600w digital hps. I think you would be very happy with that.

I started a new DWC yesterday. I want to do a test run flowering with dwc before committing a lot of money it to a full setup which is what I am planning on doing. I'll post some pics up when I get home tonight. I already have one dwc setup for clonning and it works great; hope to continue that with this one.

I haven't updated in a while but the girls are doing Great! They have recovered from the bad soil much better than I expected. I have already harvested a couple of the plants. All of these strains are turning out stronger than I thought. The hindu kush is actually a purp as seen below. The superskunk is a much more beautiful plant than I thought it would be and it looks like it is going to have baseball bat sized buds by the time it is finished. It still has at least 5 weeks left! (will post pics of this later)
The other pictures are of SMG and I transplanting Big Momma into an 8 gallon bucket. We used some compost that we made last year so we'll see if that was a success. Let me just say that from experience this plant appears much larger in person than it does in a picture. It has been vegged since the early part of 09 and we are planning on flowering it in about a month.

wat kinda lighting are u going to give that big girl?
400hps hortilux and some supplementary lighting with some cfls and hopefully some t5s. The plant is only taking up about 3x3 which is basically what my footprint is.

we're both broke asses, so a 400 it'll be. It fits the foot print perfectly, so we should good. not as much lighting as we'd like, but this lady needs to be flowered ASAP while we have the room.

I think he's planning on making a bonsai of his own from some AirForce1. :weed:

PS. figured i'd share some GDP i've been smoking on. :-P

Really? I was hoping that it was going to stay the same size. haha. Thanks Pho, but we do realize this. hope you stick around for the grow though.

More of this on this grow and then we will skip the purp on the next grow and come back to it the grow after that.

Harvested most of the crop, everything but the SuperSkunk. Only got about 2oz but I wasnt expecting a lot considering this was just an in between grow to determine which strains I want and the largest plant is still in the closet. I will definitely continue growing the airforceone and the jane dope. As mentioned before, the kush was unexpectedly a purp; it's a complete body high, would be great for medicinal purposes. Here are a few of the pics from the harvest.

Pictures do no do this justice! Congrats on a successful grow. I am a big fan of all the strains, except for maybe the Kush, not a huge fan of the body high but it is purps so that is going for it.
